I just took a look at the couple of the renders on the iPhone X. Don't you think it's going to end up being a little smaller for us Plus users?

Hard to say I think for videos from the sounds it will be. I’m tempted to buy a iPhone x case from amazon. Seen a spigen one that I like and will compare it. I think the size won’t be like going from a plus to the 4.7 version due the overall body.

Considering I use my 12.9 for a lot of main tasks the size drop I think will be worth it to me.

Used the iPhone 8+ vs the iPhone 7+ yesterday and the phone isn't that much faster enough to even warranty consideration between iPhone to iPhone. Plus, what is the point of "True Tone?" It just felt like a brighter display. Note 8 > iPhone X > iPhone 8+.

Turn on night shift and put the slider to the extreme left. Mimics truetone very well inside a room.Buy a wireless charging case if you want wireless charging.Even the iPhone 8 is going inside a case anyway. Portrait lighting has a crude alternative in the form of third party apps.

Speed tests are showing 7 Plus and 8 Plus neck and neck. Max difference is 1-2 seconds and that too in games. The 8 Plus is no upgrade from a 7.

I am returning an iPhone 7+ back to my family member in a matter of time. The iPhone SE will probably go on sale too. Note 8 is here to stay. I noticed a few hiccups with lag with Amazon's Shopping App, typing a bit on FB Messenger, and LinkedIn? You know what? Don't care about the lag because the Note 8 is that awesome. Haven't found a phone that looks as aesthetically pleasing, has zippy performance, takes awesome photos, offers a stylus, has a bevy of features, and can be customized very well. I don't even have Nova Launcher installed yet because Samsung's UI hasn't been that bad to me.

Just to add, the iPhone 7+ is a lag fest too. I had some apps that would freeze, crash, etc. So if I can ignore those issues, then I am set with the Note 8.

Seems to me worth the premium and a nice upgrade from the 7. I'm going to head down to the apple store today and hope I have some will power.:):apple:

The difference in what you mentioned is that portrait lighting will get better, true tone is a hardware and software supported function. Geekbench shows the a11 bionic chip demolishes just about everything, and if course if this is your thing, wireless and fast charging built-in.

They have ruined the 7 Plus on iOS 11 somewhat. I keep getting lags and stutters everywhere. I no longer differentiate Android and iOS phones on this aspect.

Why aren't you getting the X?

Is it me or are the iPhone pics more saturated than the Note 8?

Yeah, he even said that. The HDR in the regular camera is way to strong and not tuned right. The clouds are BLUE instead of grey on some of those photos. He would flip between the 2x camera and the regular one and the clouds go from blue to grey and back to blue.

certainly seems by this test that gaming is where the iphone destroys the note but generally apps opening it's very even.

Blah, I pick the phone that does everything well and not just opening programs/games. Which is the Note 8.
