But that doesn't explain why all apps were flushed from memory. This is a memory management issue.
Again...the 8 in general needs to be optimized. It is not a hardware issue if the iPhone 7 doesn't have the same issue.

This is really simple, I think....

Apple has plenty to do. iOS 11 is a lag fest on my 2nd gen ipad pro, but not on my 8 plus.

Could be but this aagain reinforces what a horrible release iOS 11 is. Not only are there huge stutters on older devices, the newer ones also have speed and ram management issues. I expected something like this from Android back in the old days. iOS no longer has that polish nowadays.

iPhone issues on iOS 11 here too. Good thing the 7+ didn't get it. My SE has it, but I am about to sell it asap and need the $.

You would think that the 2nd gen iPad pros could handle iOS 11 when Apple touted all of the new iOS 11 features to sell it to us at WWDC. It almost saying it’s iOS 11.

Having said that my 10.5 iPad Pro is doing ok. No issues so far.

It’s odd.

The biggest example is opening apps. They stutter through the animation. The high refresh rate makes it more noticeable.

There is plenty of processing powers in the iPad pros. The software is not optimized.

Do you have a single instance of stutter on iOS 11? Because on iOS 10.3.3 there's zero on my 12.9 Pro,zilch, nada. I upgraded it to iOS 11,noticed some stutter when I opened Safari and downgraded back to 10.3.3

For my purposes iOS 11 is one of the best releases in years. My devices are working pretty darn well with them. 6 is gone, dropped and replaced with i7.

I'm not that sensitive to stutters but lagging I can't stand. So it's possible that there are some issues but maybe I'm not seeing them.

Yes there is stutter on 10.3.3 in the same places that’s its been for the last 3 years. Other than that no stutter on my 6s with iOS 11.

Again means NOTHING in the real world usage as proven in that video.

Just wait 6 months Samsung phones always have bogged down after a short time.
[doublepost=1506289781][/doublepost]
But it performs slower in real usage compared to the 7 plus. So in reality its a waste of money

Rubbish as if they put a slower chip in the 8 than the 7, cmon lol.

works fine on my 10.5 pro

Haha, that has always been a samsung problem, never ends.

My S7 Edge is not slowing down at all and it's around 14 months or so old.

Samsung fixed the memory issues a long time ago. Note 8 can have over 25 apps open without any issues. Unlike Apple with the 8, 2-3 apps and thats it as seen in the video below.

The video from EverythingApplePro proves that the 8 was slower than the 7 until Apple fixes iOS optimizations with that new chip.

Well if you want me to believe that you will have to believe my 8 is faster than my 7, which it is.

There is some on here that got rid of the S7 edge for poor ram management so you must notice it.

There is proof the 8 is slower than the 7 all over the web. That is a given.

I doubt the Note 8 will have the bog down because Touchwiz gets leaner and leaner each update. 8.0 will make it better. The A11 chip's "impact" is overstated.

The stutter in the dark parts of the OS will never be fixed but in case of iOS 11 I am observing stutters in almost every function of the OS. And because the 12.9 Pro has double the normal refresh rate it’s even more noticeable on it.

It has been a few weeks not 6 months, come back to me then?

The 8 camera doesn’t even have OIS in the second lens. Apple didn’t even try to entice 7 Plus users with this phone.
