Did you see the entire video? The guy did a WiFi test using Speedtest? Did you see the games load?Oh yeah? Where is the wifi test? Please link it.

Even my 6s does better than that on WiFi.
I see that now. I didn't need to watch the whole thing because I saw enough. So it has more antennas for the wifi I assume. Still slower than the Note 8 cellular....probably slower than it's wifi too.

The ram management aspect will be short lived as apple tunes IOS 11. It's obvious the same operating system operating differently on the iphone 7 and the iphone 8 means that apple has some stuff going on under the covers that's inherently different between the two phones. As far as camera quality, ymmv and application loads are a function of the tweaking that apple has yet to do.The WiFi on the note 8 and iPhone are on par with each other. Other videos show the note 8 winning in wifi by a small amount so this will vary based on your data speed and internet provider. Also I wouldn't be comparing the note 8 to a iPhone 7. The comparisons of the note 8 against the iPhone 8 plus show how optimized the note 8 really is. It outpaces the new iPhone in ram management, wifi speed although nearly a tie, camera quality, and application loads.
When Apple's honour is at stake, the results are clearly a worry for some in here to come to this forum when they aren't even interested in this OS.Ran speed tests on my MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Mini 4, Galaxy S8+, iPhone 7+ and iPhone 8+.
Differences were negligible. I don't think it's worth worrying about.
That is one of the best lines you’ve every posted. Looking for my thumbs up emoji. Especially in anthread comparing the two phones. When Apple's honour is at stake, the results are clearly a worry for some in here to come to this forum when they aren't even interested in this OS.

But you are correct in the bigger sense a lot of “pride” seems to be at stake for both sides.
What would be a start is if you admitted this is most likely teething issues with a new architecture and new software and for the most part this would not affect most users in a day to day basis. It would be a start if you admitted flushing all apps from memory is not a normal occurrence because it isn't.

What do you mean it’s just another chip? Haven’t you been following what is being said about the a11 chip and the subtle changes that may be coming in iOS 11.What do you mean by a new architecture? It’s just another chip like the A10 Fusion with more cores. If you are implying it’s thanks to the Bionic moniker, Apple has already confirmed they have it that name because they wanted an exciting name for it.
Didn’t iPhone pride itself on memory management or so you guys claimed? What happened to all that?
iPhone 8 Plus - no brainer.
At the very least, you don't want to deal with a Google Play store that has infected many devices: http://www.techrepublic.com/article...ore-security-could-have-infected-4-2-devices/
iPhone is rock-solid with the best ecosystem & hardware, and I have felt no compelling reason to deviate from it for 8 years now. Especially when I hear my Android friends talk about staying home to redo their phones and having to manage memory for spiraling-out-of-control processes.
Never had an issue with android other than bad apps which is rare. But quick and easy to fix. I've owned both and like both. But the note 8 is a no Brainer to get the most for my money.iPhone 8 Plus - no brainer.

IOS does not beat a phone with twice the memory. What do you mean it’s just another chip? Haven’t you been following what is being said about the a11 chip and the subtle changes that may be coming in iOS 11.
“You guys”? Are you personally worried for Apple. I guess beating/destroying the note 8 in games is not enough. I guarantee that when the iPhone x is released about the only thing left to discuss will be “the screen”. Btw don’t you find it amusing that iOS beats an android phone with twice the memory?

Well choosing a model based on your own requirements is as it should be. But if your valid personal speed benchmark use case is opening apps, can’t dispute your requirements.I find it even more amusing that an Android Phone with half the CPU grunt is beating an iOS device in launching apps.
Yes I am ready to put $400 more for just the screen, it’s that important to me. The screen is the phone
I do hope you realize that lead is going to be short lived, unlike Samsung, Apple will roll out a few updates in the coming weeks to better utilize the new cpu. History speaks for itself, Android is great for customizing the experience, pure speed has always gone to iOS, really don’t see that changing anytime soon. The fact that the 7 Plus was out doing it shows they just need to work out a few kinks. Happens to every new phoneI find it even more amusing that an Android Phone with half the CPU grunt is beating an iOS device in launching apps.

Yup, it is right now but I garuantee once apple sends out a couple more updates to iron out the kinks it won’t go that wayAgain close match but note 8 wins the master of speed comparisons on YouTube.
