Yup, it is right now but I garuantee once apple sends out a couple more updates to iron out the kinks it won’t go that way

Just is what it is, both are very fast phones at the end of the day though

Speedtest don't matter to me. I do appreciate the Note 8 will be temporary faster at loading apps, but I do know that others will best it eventually. What good is it if you do not have the software to take advantage of blazing fast hardware? The A10 processor isn't that much behind the A11 either. Great, Apple made some advancements with its processor. Same with Samsung. Only thing that matters is that my phone lasts me years to come. If iOS and the iPhone 8/8+ are your things, then go for it. If not, plenty of other options I would suggest: OnePlus 5, HTC U11, Google Pixel 2017, LG G6, LG V30, Note 8, S8+, S8.

What do you mean it’s just another chip? Haven’t you been following what is being said about the a11 chip and the subtle changes that may be coming in iOS 11.

“You guys”? Are you personally worried for Apple. I guess beating/destroying the note 8 in games is not enough. I guarantee that when the iPhone x is released about the only thing left to discuss will be “the screen”. Btw don’t you find it amusing that iOS beats an android phone with twice the memory?
The screen, the S-pen, still having a fingerprint sensor, fast wireless charging, the ability to make my phone into a desktop, a headphone jack, not having a notch. Some things people can talk about after the iPhone X is released.

Does it even matter if my iPhone SE can beat a lot of Android devices via its A9 processor even though it's a 4" device? Especially since some phones have 1.5-2 times the memory my SE has? Not at all. Plenty of disappointing things to bring up with the X: pricing, device color choices, the Notch, no TouchID, no native quick charge support out of the box, borrows the Blackberry Z10's gestures, has protruding cameras, etc.

Doesn't mean the phone won't sell out or won't do well at all.

Yep, that's it.
Both phones are fast.
It's all down to preference really.

Yep, I prefer iOS for my tablet needs and it goes hand in hand with my MacBook if I ever need to get into the ecosystem. My Android is agnostic and can work with many devices, so I am happy as can be :D:cool:. Though it is odd that I am thoroughly enjoying a Samsung phone this much despite my rough history with Samsung from time to time.

The WiFi on the note 8 and iPhone are on par with each other.

Per the specs they're not the same. Note 8 WIFI is more capable with higher 1024-QAM symbol rate for higher throughput and MU-MIMO which allows the router/access point to transmit to multiple MU-MIMO clients in parallel instead of sequentially with regular MIMO. To properly test the Note 8 you need to use a proper AC5400 capable router/access point otherwise you're not going to fully utilize its capabilities.

Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, 1024QAM

Nice Note 8 hardware specs are superior as usual.

People talking rubbish about Samsung Updates when we've already had both a FW Update and Launcher Update

Not to mention how the Marshmallow and Nougat updates sped up the phones that received them.

Why do people who know nothing and don't care for Android choose to come here and talk rubbish about it.

Shouldn't it be twice as fast it has double the ram 6 v 3?
[doublepost=1506585235][/doublepost]

What does the Note 8 come with?
By what logic? I doubled the ram in my computer from 8gb to 16gb. The computer didn't become twice as fast.

iOS 11 needs optimization. An iPhone 7 with 2gb of ram on ios10 has better ram management than iPhone 8 with 3gb if ram on iOS11.

But not translating into real world advantages as usual. One exception, the pen for those who find it useful. But that’s not a hardware spec.

Strangely, the latest iphone has no real world advantages period over a 5 Month old phone.

Again close match but note 8 wins the master of speed comparisons on YouTube.
How did I miss this, LOL!

Note8 is just creaming that 8 Plus, despite the 8 Plus and it's Benchmark scores and A11 Bionic chip

What gets me is the excuses from iFans.

They say there's an update coming, well duh, both phones have updates coming, there will be many updates for both.

Do these reviewers have to do an update to their review every single time the iPhone gets an update until it wins? Lol.

I have the 2nd gen EERO Pro setup with 3 devices in my house. Not sure what the best way would be to test it, but I also have access to an iPhone 7.

FPS sensor not a real world advantage?
Iris scanner not a real world advantage?
Heart Rate scanner not a real world advantage?
Curved Display not a real world advantage?
The most important one of them all, Android is not a real world advantage?

Note I am not saying the iPhone doesn’t come with any of them. It has its own unique set of advantages but the Note has its own.

I am glad you at least admit the pen is useful.

I don’t know if FPS is an advantage anymore. Apple has just obsoleted it. Heart rate scanner not an advantage as my Fitbit is on me 24 by 7 and I don’t have to look at my phone to get the heart rate and I have continuous history. Apple Watch will supposedly notify you of afib which this won’t do. Curved display, not an advantage, in fact I really dislike it. Non-curved display is an advantage however.

Yup. I find this silly tbh. They have this devilish image of Samsung from 2011 with bloated TouchWiz and zero updates. The current Samsung Experience launcher is very good and Samsung will continue to issue updates to the Note 8.

Can't say it's obsoleted it if Apple could put it underneath the OLED display still. Plus tons of devices will continue to offer it as some form of biometrics.

Exactly.....this for an unreleased...untested.... non reviewed phone with no customer feedback. Just because Apple chose not to include it in the X. Does not mean others will be lining up to follow.

I predict Apple will be the only major OEM to do this. Samsung and LG and possible Google will be putting the the FPS under the display soon. When that happens Apple will follow their lead.

Mark it down....you read it here first! :)

Its funny how so many Apple apologists made fun of Samsung with their facial recognition and Iris scanning features.
But now that Apple has adopted that feature they don't seem to mind so much.....

Their idea is that Apple is infallible and will implement a feature brilliantly. It's still got long ways to grow. The V30 has the best facial recognition hands down right now.
