iPhone 8 or Note 8?

As someone who has both the Note 8, and a 7+ with iOS 11, my Note 8 is pretty dang smooth whereas my 7+ stutters with so many simple app animations.

But hey, if you want to run geekbench all day, feel free.

The worst part is that people confuse what the CPU actually is used for. The iPhone is more than twice as fast at rendering 4k video. That is a combination of GPU strength and more importantly the sheer terrible that is OpenGL in comparison to Metal these days.

CPU factors in, sure, but not as much as people seem to believe.

They did fail! They are releasing updates messing up the phones/devices! How can you say this isn't a fail when it's causing their customers headaches. They didn't test the patches well enough before release.

They still failed. Like I said above, they messed up. And they have been doing it a lot lately.

Well, Apple has been known for years, mistakenly in my opinion, as being perfect in the OS area. They are held to a higher standard for those things. Remember: people say iOS is why you buy an iPhone.

But I heard the reason to stay with iOS is that "it just works," and "guaranteed updates." No?
Again, what good are updates when they just screw stuff up? This always happens with iOS. Yet you guys keep pushing this mantra of buttery smooth OS all the time.

No, that was me retorting the idea that the 8+ is okay because it just stutters. Also, Apple should be able to optimise their OS to work better. Android shouldn't have as smooth of an OS with how much better I'm told A11 is.
