I care about what I think; to me the SE looks straight out of 2012.
To everyone it does, it's literally the same design as the iPhone 5 of 2012, everyone knows that.
The question is, why does that matter?

Funny thing is that most people, even the ones that doesn't care about SE, admit that this "2012 design" is looking better than most of the smartphones released today.I care about what I think; to me the SE looks straight out of 2012.
I'm just going to come out and say it, irrespective of whether bigger screens are better/worse per se, I think the iPhone 6 was an ugly design, and by extension the 6S and 7 have been beaten with the same ugly stick. The off-centre protruding camera is just awful, the top and bottom bezels seem oversized, the antenna lines are clumsy, the screens aren't so big they really justify their overall size, and the obsession with thinness have left all three with disappointing battery life too.Funny thing is that most people, even the ones that doesn't care about SE, admit that this "2012 design" is looking better than most of the smartphones released today.
Just like the stupid Apple's headphone jack logic, older doesn't mean worse.
I agree. I'd love an iPhone 6 Plus with the guts of an SE and just as thick as an SE. All that extra space could be filled with battery. The phone could run for 2 days easy.I'm just going to come out and say it, irrespective of whether bigger screens are better/worse per se, I think the iPhone 6 was an ugly design, and by extension the 6S and 7 have been beaten with the same ugly stick. Roll it back to 2012 and you get a phone that's smaller yes, but also just plain better designed.
Sorry but that makes no sense to me - Bluetooth has been built into iPhones since the very first model a decade ago - your Seinheisers and whatever else work just as well with any recent iPhone as they do the 7, and aren't in any way improved by the absence of a headphone jack on the latest model. Apple haven't given anyone anything new or better by doing this, they've simply taken something away and limited people's options.I prefer the newer look (although even it is dated now).
Getting rid of the headphone jack was one of Apple's better decisions: include a dongle for those with legacy 'phones, push BT for everybody else. I only keep a decent set of wired phones for my iPod shuffle; otherwise it's BT all the way, (Sennheiser, top of the range BT phones of which I have a few).

I can absolutely see the commercial advantage for Apple in that design choice, but I can't see any benefit whatsoever for the consumer.
It's the future: no wires and other phone manufacturers are doing the same. It's also personal preference, of course, but BT headphone sales eclipsed wired last year and that will continue to grow. BT technology has also improved and that will continue, too.
The first model iPhone did not support Bluetooth music. It only supported Bluetooth for phone calls.Sorry but that makes no sense to me - Bluetooth has been built into iPhones since the very first model a decade ago - your Seinheisers and whatever else work just as well with any recent iPhone as they do the 7, and aren't in any way improved by the absence of a headphone jack on the latest model. I stand corrected. The iPhone 7 is better than the first iPhone for bluetoothThe first model iPhone did not support Bluetooth music. It only supported Bluetooth for phone calls.
The SE is a sweet device. I like jogging with it. Much easier than the 6 Plus I had for a while.Ive had mine for over a year now, and it looks great and is still ace! I was issued a 7Plus for work and it's way too big! I hope they keep the SE around for a long time![]()
Yep.This thread is awesome
Glad there's lots of SE fans
It's a sleeper cult-within-apple-cult hit iPhone
Don't hold your breath.Yep.
Let's just hope Apple doesn't blow it by ignoring us.

I agree on the 6 and 6s being not the best looking phones. But I have to say I like how my 7 Plus matte black looks.I'm just going to come out and say it, irrespective of whether bigger screens are better/worse per se, I think the iPhone 6 was an ugly design, and by extension the 6S and 7 have been beaten with the same ugly stick. But not better than the iPod touch...this "2012 design" is looking better than most of the smartphones released today.
Do the airlines permit Bluetooth these days?Getting rid of the headphone jack was one of Apple's better decisions... it's BT all the way...
I have no issues with the resolution. I also don't use it as a serious media consumption device, that's what the iPad Pro 12.9 is for. IIRC the SE has the same PPI as the iPad Pro.If Apple upgrades the resolution on the SE, I will gladly Purchase it again. I have no other issues with it.
Cricket is selling them for $169 for 16GB or $229 for 64GB. You only need to buy a plan for one month and then the phone is unlocked. Cheapest plan is $30.I wanted an unlocked one and I am not on t-mobile. Great price you got.
IPads resolution ppi-wise is with 26x lower than iPhones 32x+
