Anyone that actually helped clean out those camps would have some strong words to say to someone labeling another a Nazi so casually and for something so insignificant.
I know this because my grandfather was one of those soldiers, and this very thing was a MASSIVE pet peeve of his.
And by “strong words,” I mean something I can’t describe in this forum without getting at least a warning, so in perpetuity and in his memory may I suggest not labeling something as evil until you’ve actually been surrounded by the sight and smell of true evil, not just a complete stranger you have an ideological difference with.
10000% It is amazing how many have fallen into this silly politicized slander silliness. I had relatives in those camps. Calling people "Nazis" like this devalues the term and it devalues what they went through. It's unhelpful, selfish and frankly embarrassing to do. And it completely nukes any valid argument or point you may have had.

And my D-Day veteran father would completely disagree with your grandfather. Can you believe different veterans have different opinions on the subject? :)

Yeah, I was going to say something similar ... as someone whose family was very close to the situation and luckily escaped to Canada

There's no point in trying to claim superiority of current opinion based upon past history in my view

My eyes can see very fascistic tendencies with Elon, right now, with very little additional historical context needed

Oh for crying out loud. I don’t plan on getting this service and don’t have a Tesla. But calling people Nazis does a severe disservice to people who actually suffered, were terrorized, and mercilessly executed by the actual Nazis.

In before the virtue signaling. Oooops, too late.

Great feature for those that venture off the grid regularly. Too bad there won't be much discussion that is on-topic.

How could Hitler have possibly come to power, and do all that he did? It’s those that enabled, stood silent and looked the other way.

Ridiculing others for speaking out against authoritarianism. “Owning the libs” to get a dopamine hit off putting someone else down publicly. Feeling like you’re part of some movement, where you confuse oppression for own lack of purpose. Contrarian authority figures sticking it to the old guard. Etc, etc.

Look it took years and millions of people to amass unchecked power and to install a dictatorship. But it was done in Germany, it was done in Russia, and we’re not immune from it either in the US.

When dozens of posters here speak out against Elon doing a Nazi salute and illegally taking over the inner workings of the US government, it’s for a good f*****g reason. I too will speak with my wallet, and with my voice against this as long as I live. I don’t care how good the tech is. TMobile should not have done this.

I've seen this a few times and it's worth a re-post:

"If you've ever wondered what you would have done in 1930s Germany or during the civil rights movement, congratulations: you're doing it now."
