I find it very strange, i tried multiple units, in total 15 more or less, with native camera they all showed this anomaly, ProRaw Max (native), JPEG Lossless. From different stores, family, friends, and different countrys also.

Examples?
Yeah, I can provide some samples later. I don’t have any before and after directly after the restore since the restore was done after 10pm last night. I know that’s what makes the difference when talking about the subject. I probably have some photos. I have taken prior to the restore though on my phone. I just went out and took photos of what I took before prior to the restore and the image quality has improved. Samples to come….

Well, the phones at the stores are display units only. I don’t even think that they have everything on them that the new ones shipping out to customers would have. Those iPhones in the stores are just sample units. I would expect them to have everything on them, but I’m not 100% sure that they do. I wouldn’t quote me on that.

Nice to know that the results are now great for you.

- The majority from those units that I tested are familly iphones. But that doesn’t matter neither is relevant.

Its a spread issue, even the assistance told me that, every day they receive even more reports of this.
I understand that placebo effect and some actions like restoring may or may not help. However im happy to know thats not an hardwere issue, i did every remote test , logs, etc. I provided multiple images, screenshots and screen recordings from my iphone and from others friends too.
They identified the abnormality and its in investigation phase. They will update me in the next 1/2 weeks about this.
Till then i will use the app ProCam.
I have many photos and records from multiple iPhones 16PM that prove this issue.

Sample of post restore. Much better than before. Apparently I deleted the pixelated images, probably out of frustration.

Found a fuzzy picture before restore. This tree was much closer and the quality sucks!

Can confirm, full restore 2 different 16PM and the problem persists.

Some samples after the full restore.
(Native ProRAW MAX [48MP] vs ProCam ProRAW [48MP])

Strange artifacts, pixelation and low resolution.

Yeah. Same thing happening to both my 16 Pro Max so for me a full restore did not solve this issue.

For me, ProCam is such a great app that I don't mind using it for ProRAW 48. I will continue using ProCamera for RegRAW.

Noticed that ProCam has not been updated to support iPhone 16 models yet.
But maybe that is a good thing if it works better with ProRAW? Haha
