Is there a website or spread sheet that lists which movies come with an iTunes code (vs. UV, VUDU,...)?
This will give you a good idea based on studio:

The studios could all very well follow Disney's lead: one code unlocks for multiple stores automatically. You get iTunes, Google play/YouTube, Amazon, Vudu and Disney movie anywhere.
Smart.
Actually, UV does work a lot like Disney's system. A few differences. Disney is backed by Disney, UV is backed by the D.E.C.E.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Entertainment_Content_Ecosystem......which is most of the studios, , consumer electronics manufacturers and retailers, network hardware vendors and such. The big difference is that Disney and Apple are tied at the hip. Apple joined Disney right from the start. Disney gave Apple an exclusive, and that got the ball rolling and others followed. Apple has not joined UV, that's the real difference. If Apple joined UV, all codes could be used in itunes, Just like Disney.
What I am saying is Disney didn't lock themselves to Apple only. They are on Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Vudu's stores. With one code. All these stores use different DRMs and codec formats yet one code redeems across them all.
All the other studios could do the same... Sony for example could say hey link your iTunes account to us and everytime you redeem a code, it will show up in iTunes as well as your UV account. The individual Studios control where their codes will redeem. But it seems they want us to choose.
Disney originally backed iTunes (before UV). But as Disney usually does, did their own thing.....which in this case was the best for consumers. When they launched DMA it was only on Apple. It was later in the year they expanded.
UV was originally created so that the movie industry wouldn't hand over the entire thing to Apple to control, like Apple did with music. That and the studios didn't want to see DRM free movies like music went to. In the end the idea was good, keep the stores and the content separate....buy anywhere, watch anywhere. Sadly it's still not the best for consumers, and DRM continues to punish those who are honest.
I don't think we'll ever see the day where Apple gives up control and joins UV. Maybe if Amazon did, it might force Apple's hand.....but they are almost too big to care.

Has anyone else had trouble redeeming? I've tried copy/pasting as well as manual entry, but when I hit the redeem button it says that, "the code entered is not valid." It came from nannerberry.
Are you trying to redeem in iTunes? Some movies need to be redeemed at a studio-specific web site first, which then will give you an iTunes redemption code (e.g. recent Fox releases such as Spectre).Has anyone else had trouble redeeming? I am iTunes first and UV second, but I actually hope UV starts to destroy iTunes in sales because if Apple joined UV, my iTunes and Vudu libraries could finally merge and my collection be in one place.
Update on Disney codes - news hitting all the communities - Disney has made a system change so that ALL codes, including older titles, are single redemption only. You are going to see a LOT less Disney codes for sale since people can't sell the DC+ portion anymore. Glad I finished my collection already.

Means prices will also go up.

Amen to the finishing up my collection part. Even though we came into the game late, we got in just barely at a good time. I finished up Marvel and Pixar so I'm essentially done with Disney at this point. I won't pay for Vault titles so Cinderella (animated) and the Pirates of the Caribbean 1-4 set may be my final splurge.
Now I'm really glad that I picked up cheap DC+ copies of movies that I kinda wanted, but didn't really need (Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, etc.).
great list, thank you. I've got a long way to go.
I own (from that list):
Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast
Cinderella
Lady and the Tramp
The Lion King
The Little Mermaid
Peter Pan
Any tips for 'buy now', 'wait' (should be coming out of vault), or 'it'll be a long time before you're gonna get it'?
