I've never had a problem with a storefront vendor. One took almost a day to send a code, but I got it. There is some code merchant system and it seems like anyone can set up a storefront. I mainly stick to the ones listed on ultravioletcinema.com. Never had a problem with these and some of them have instant delivery.

I guess the most common risk is that you never receive your code and lose a few bucks. To me the bigger risk is that the code was not legitimately obtained and you may put your account at risk for redeeming it.

Still, I'd trust a storefront more than most individuals. Read through the scammer sections on the G+ groups. Full of rip offs weekly. Last fall I bought a code from an individual on G+. There was a scam alert about the seller which accused him of some type of fraud in acquiring the codes. Lots of talk of possibly frozen accounts, but nothing ever came of it as far as I know.

Keep an eye on the cheapcharts app. it is great for tracking iTunes sales. If a movie drops to $10 or $5 and it's something on my wish list, I'll grab it.

As for third party, the biggest savings I've had have been for TV series. The Wire, Sopranos for $20-30 for the entire collection, all seasons. Quite a deal.

The other big advantage of third party is unavailable titles (Disney) that still have a valid code floating around. Hell, when I started building my library I found a few code sheets in blurays that I didn't know I had.

I read that most of the volume sellers have arrangements with bulk disc buyers (rental stores? they still exist?) and buy the code sheets from new releases.

are the sites that sell codes trustworthy ? they all seem to want you to create an account

Many of the stores have instant delivery and I have purchased from many of them with no problems. I just make sure I use paypal and I haven't had any issues at all. They usually ask for an address and phone number but you don't have to use your actual address and phone number. Most the time my address is "main street". Works perfectly. :)

Thanks for the app recommendation .. It's awesome!

As far as the sites .. It kind of sucks because they have all old stuff nothing new. Also the tv series are usually $50 for the whole series. But I have access to HBO go etc so I'm not sure if I want to buy them.

In my experience the people that run the stores are the same people that are members of Google groups so you're better off just buying from a HO chat. At least then you can negotiate. And yes, HBO series are $50 on stores as opposed to $20 in the groups. Stores are roughly two to three times more expensive. I've gotten $1 HD movies from the groups where you'll never be able to bargain that from a store.

Google forums are now saying Disney might have squashed XML redeems. Still have a few more XMLs that I needed...

It really is amazing how worthless iTunes codes are to the general population. I got all of the latest iTunes releases for either a dollar or free by redeeming the iTunes portion and selling off the UV. Spotlight, Legend, Trumbo, Danish Girl, Sisters, Big Short.

I just redeemed Prince Caspian XML with no issues. I'm sorta glad Disney is putting the squash on multiple redemptions. People were making out like rogues with all the Disney codes.
[doublepost=1458105288][/doublepost]HOLY CRAP! I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but a ton of movie collections are on sale on itunes.

Thanks for these will definitely keep an eye on those 2.
I used cjs-cdkeys earlier and purchased 2 Guns and Straight Outta Compton for £1.50 and £1.44.

It's a shame we don't get iTunes codes in the UK much these days.
Good job I've also got a US iTunes account too to take advantage of these bargain movie codes.

Finally joined the Peter Pan club. Assuming Beauty and the Beast comes out this year, only have Lion King and Lady and the Tramp to go.

I picked up game of thrones S5 for $10 from one of the stores today. it is $40 on iTunes. these series seem to be where i find the best savings.

Does this site provide codes for the UK store, as he has $ and £?
Considering iTunes codes being bundled with UK DVDs and Blu-rays seems to be a rarity these days I would assume they're pretty much all for the US store.
