I spotted a few Mulan and Pocahontas codes in the wild due to the DMC exclusive Blu-rays finally starting to ship. The code gods really answered my prayers on Mulan. Finally!

Funny to see people paying $15 for Batman v. Superman preorder. All for the privilege to have the cover art sit in their Vudu library for 6 months. :p Meanwhile there will be $5 codes when the BR comes out.

Will probably buy from Tim Hughes for $6.99 next Friday. I thought about getting the Blu-ray but feel like Disney will double-dip in a few months with the 3D version.

FYI, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland are the next Disney Movie Club releases with digital codes.

I had to look this up. reminds me of the old record clubs.

the FAQ says:

By accepting the introductory offer, you agree to the terms of membership specified within your enrollment agreement, including the purchase of a minimum number of titles at regular Club prices. Regular Club prices start at just $19.95 per DVD, $29.95 for Blu-ray™ members, plus any shipping and processing charges specified in your offer. Please allow 2 — 4 weeks for delivery of your introductory movies.

About every 4 weeks, you will receive a mailing indicating the Featured Title. You can choose to receive the Featured Title, an alternate, or no movie at all. Each movie you purchase at regular Club prices counts as one unit toward fulfilling your membership agreement.

So how many do you have to buy and over what period?

You have to remember to decline the monthly Featured Title?

So 4 free titles plus some number at $30 each? Not sure it is worth the hassle.

There's a promo code on the Blu-ray forums where you get five Blu-rays for $1, an additional 6th for $11.95, and only need 3 more at full price to fulfill your commitment. Comes out to $90 for 9 titles. I'm not in the club, just commenting that since they are finally releasing digital copy Blu-rays for those movies, we'll see start to see codes in the market.

That's not too bad at ~$10 each and also get the BR.

I'm curious if you get these iTunes codes from these movies, are these movies/tv shows always accessible from your iTunes account? since we'll be using primarily iPads, iPhones and AppleTVs storage will be an issue as our setup is more streaming based.

I know some movies/shows/albums disappear from the iTunes store regularly or they change something..not sure how it works with these codes.

I have some old TV shows that I purchased several years ago and they are still able to be watched and downloaded even though they are no longer on the iTunes Store. I can watch them on my Apple TV, Mac, iPads and iPhones.

I wish some of these newer releases on bluray had iTunes codes. i get the reason why but dang, that stinks.
I don't always like Tarantino films but love his affection for cinematography and film history.

I've learned to live with having both an iTunes and Vudu library. It is just too expensive and too limited going "iTunes only".

Plus it is good to hedge your bets in the event that one major service goes under. There's no guarantee that iTunes or UV goes the way of Flixster and Nook Video.

Get the cheap charts app, shows price drops and have found movies that weren't and are in my iTunes wishlish pop up there when they go on sale. im going iTunes only for the simple sake of it being accessible anywhere.

That is a nice App. That's where I first saw the Indiana Jones movies get a price-cut today. albeit a very small price cut.

Yeah its come in extremely handy, you can get set alerts on ones you like just in case they drop some only last a few hours, etc. but i noticed the Indian Jones bundle collection is definitely cheaper if you want to one fell swoop them all
