Any new theories about those lumped into Nov 2-9? My initial order went in probably 7:03 am CST and the natural Ti was already pushed to Nov 2-9. I had to call so Apple would cancel that order [no such option in app] and within that first hour ordered SB Ti. I thought sales said the Abyss solo loop was standard, but now I am told this is a custom order as though I had used the studio does not qualify for express shipping.
However, I think up through at least the next day and perhaps late that Ti orders, at least SB, were being lumped into Nov 2 -9.
Will priority be given to when the orders got through or is this a massive dump that favors whatever locations Apple elevates inasmuch as can be seen in those who are getting their AW tomorrow or soon thereafter?

I chatted with customer service for the second time about upgrading my shipping to expedited (45mm Natural Ti, current delivery window Nov 2-9). Was shot down for the second time. Here is the partial transcript. For context, I'm in the Boston area.

I spoke to an apple rep and got the same response. This is the second day that my aw7 order is sitting on preparing to ship, with no changes in date and no tracking number. He said that I can’t have the watch any sooner than the proposed delivery date.

They always change next weeks to PFS the night before launch, so you can't cancel and try to get in store.

I am in CST (USA) and cannot find Ti for delivery prior to Nov 2 - 9, much less in my local Apple Store.

The store pickup option went live here in the west at around 4:30am. I was able to snag a 45mm silver SS for pickup today.

Blah in Philly I can’t find anything for pickup today. Well I am only searching for SBTi so that may be the issue. Haha.

I wish iStock still worked. Made it so easy to find store inventory. Now it is just a manual process, unless there is some other inventory checker I am not aware of.

I wonder if some stores have limited stock, but the online system doesn't let you buy it since it's so low. I remember that happened with the braided solo loops when they launched; it showed no stock online, but I went to the store, and they had like a couple of each size, they said if it's "low stock"/yellow in their system (I think less than 3 or 5), then it shows as unavailable online.

I know only two Apple stores in my area carry Edition watches (both are a bit far), and too busy to test this theory.

Was hoping for Space Black Ti but had to settle on Graphite SS for store pickup today
Am settling the same way. But having seen the sbti in person now, I’m not convinced it’s entirely worth the extra outlay. The weight difference didn’t seem as much in reality as it is on paper.

Since SS was November delivery almost from start of the preorder day how could you NOT expect the shortage to be this bad?

that happens lots of times but stores usually have launch day stock well into the morning (M1 iPad Pros, iPhone 13s just this year).
