Shipping Exception

rittchard - 'Shipping Exception' just means that FedEx is no longer responsible for the 3 day delivery guarantee. This is because Apple missed the delivery cutoff time for handover in China to make that day's international departure flight. You''ll probably still get it by Friday, but don't expect Thursday.

I wasn't referring to your metaphor. I was referring to your lack of sleep! Is this your first Mac laptop? I mean, I'm really excited too.. but it's not like it does anything new! (Lame multitouch gestures don't count).

No. It will be my 4th mac in 6 years. I just get excited when I get new (as in not yet released, not the technology) products are on the way to being in my hands. Also, I'm looking forward to the 2.4 pound reduction in my daily bag weight. When you walk everywhere, it really counts...

Yeah, I am not really a fan of the multi-touch gestures either. They seem to childish to tell you the truth. And they are very limited to iphoto and web browsing by the looks of it. Not saying that I won't like my Macbook Air, but the gestures aren't very appealing to me.

Ahhhh, thanks for the clarification! I'll keep my fingers crossed. How many flights a day do they typically do? It's 2pm Wednesday there now, I'd have thought another flight would have left by now...

No news in EU... talked to several resellers, they expect the MBA to arrive
within the next week - some Feb 5th, others Feb 7th. Yesterday, on my
way home from work I've noticed two very large packages in the GRAVIS
Store in Cologne (in the middle of the store) - they were from APPLE.

But what is inside? I might just be some MBPs...
