I was able to identify the Fedex flights from China to Anchorage on flightaware.com. There are only 2, FDX90 which goes from ZSPD (Shanghai) to PANC (Anchorage)then on to KMEM (Memphis) and FDX24 which goes from ZSPD to PANC then to KIND (Indianapolis). Both end up in the continental US (either Memphis or Indy) at around 11:45PM EST.

Since there are only 2 flights a day, they must be on one of them....

Has anyone used the Flight Tracker Widget on these flights?

Good luck for everyone who purchased it! I can't wait until it makes it to my local apple store so I can pick it up. I have a feeling it will be just like the first time I picked up the new Nano and thought, OMG this thing is friggin thin! :apple:

Yeah the first time I saw the original iPod Nano I was very impressed.

I hope it turns out to be the same for this too.

i gather it is NOT up by the iSight, i suppose it could be beneath the screen like the macbook ones...

Anxious to hear how the heat is underneath (for when on lap) compared to Macbook.

It's gotten warm on the underside, i'd say the 1/3 portion under the numbers on the keyboard. There's no heat whatsoever on the 2/3 portions under the trackpad and the middle of the keyboard. This is good news for all male users...we may burn our knees, but we can live with that!

What's the point? Correct me if I'm wrong but the aftermarket 64 gigers are more expensive than what Apple is charging.

To swap an SSD won't you also need to make sure it is PATA and then get someone to transfer/clone the hard drive contents (I have no idea how one does a system reinstall on an MBA)

Yes, I know. My thinking was if I get the stock model now, if say, 6-12 months from now when prices reduce - if it can be swapped. That would be my personal goal.

What is your impression of the performance?

About 2-3 bounces on the dock to boot up Safari, Calendar. 1 bounce for Settings. Everything else seems a tad speedier than my MacBook 2.0 Core Duo. However, I only have 1GB RAM on that one. I think those who opted for the SSD will really feel a difference with the Apps loading.

Yes; application loading is one bounce or less on the SSD model.

And how does the 1.6 80 compare?

I was kinda thinking in that direction too. The trouble is until recently SSD was considered a niche market since the only real consumers for it were power concious laptop users. Now that the server market for SSD seems to be gaining steam I think the price wars could really ignite. I still can't see it happening in a rapid enough fashion to sway my decisions for the next year and a half or so.
