No that is a very poor mindset. If there is something critically wrong with a device, the fault should be pointed out so that consumers can have a better product in the future. Sure the laptop might not be made for gaming, but what do users lose by reserving the option to play games adequately with a decent response time panel? The herd mindset here is very strange, ultimately resulting in a culture that breeds complacency instead of progress in our devices.
Just because it isn't an issue for you, doesn't mean that it isn't an issue. It just means that your standards in that sector are too low.
how can you ask that question.. "what do users lose" ?
First off, we lose because a device with the perfect display you want would not cost what the current macbooks cost. We would also lose the 1600nit HDR display..its not possible to have it all in one display for a price that is still reasonable.
I think you are looking at this as if all panels cost the same and you just add features to them and they dont lose any previous capabilities.
there are trade-offs. I believe apple made the right choice..many more of their customers care about HDR and deep blacks vs low response times. You are the few (loud) customers that care about response time in a display..why would apple screw over 95% of their customer base to make 5% happy? Especially when you can use an external monitor if necessary.
Please stop bringing this conversation back to "your standards are too low"
Its not like the rest of us dont notice the problem, its just that we dont care and arent going to complain about it nonstop and act like its a personal jab from apple. THEY MADE A CHOICE, if you arent happy dont buy the computer..
I have explained multiple times why your opinion doesnt and shouldnt matter to apple...sorry you are upset by this.
