Apple took the Payment for mine at the weekend but it’s not due to ship until 29th of March - 5th of April.

Would that mean I might get it sooner than I thought?!

So does my 2Tb Ultra. Arriving 21st-22nd March. Still ’processing’. (UK)
Still showing ‘processing’ this morning. Looking at my credit card statement, I can see Apple have charged it for the Mac Studio. But not for the monitor yet. Maybe that’s got something to do with it.

I hope they don’t delay the computer if there‘s a hold-up with the monitors. I’ve already got a monitor I could use for the time being.

I wouldn’t hold out hope for earlier shipments with the lockdown now, since timely shipments seem questionable at this moment.

With a couple of reports of shipments from Shenzhen it seems to confirm that is where the studio is made. Posts here that are helpful are:

1. Shipped from Shenzhen (with model ordered)

2. Status changed from Processing to Preparing to Ship (with model ordered)

2. Change in estimated arrival date.

3. Shipped from another location.

"processing", "due to ship", "no movement", etc. posts don't contribute any useful new information since that is the status of the majority of orders. It is the orders that are moving that impart useful information.

Just chill, bro. You'll get it when you get it. Do you really want a windows machine? Don't answer that. We don't need to drag this out. :)
Always love when someone is having a tantrum and threatens some action that literally only impacts them, and expects anyone to care.

If my studio doesn’t arrive by Friday I’ll poke myself in the eye !

Congrats on the niece, but no sorry friend I think calling out China and Apple's relationship with them is pretty fair.

well lets keep this non-political. One way to look at this is all the machines you buy ever from every PC manufacturer are coming from there anyway. You are only exposed to this directly because you are preordering a hot item. The latest HP laptop has no interest, so they just get released through regular channels.

Anyone have a tracking number yet? Any useful "references" that could help others would be great. Not sure if Apple/UPS figured out how to plug that leak though. I know we used to do that with the new iPhones. Hoping mine made it out before the lockdown...

Yep. 64GB Memory is what is pushing all Studios up May - June. With 32GB, you still get it by early April. I decided to go with 32GB because with my 2017 27" iMac 5K with 24GB of memory, I haven't even reached its ceiling. The most intensive task I do with my Macs is running Pro Tools and some Adobe Photoshop. In fact, my just recently purchased MBP 14" M1 Pro with 16GB memory works perfectly fine with Pro Tools and Photoshop. I decided to get the MBP from Best Buy instead of Apple because it was available for pickup on Friday, got 24 months financing with my Best Buy Visa and they price matched it at $2349 ($2499 Apple price) from B&H Photo.

Saturday status changed from processing to preparing to ship. This morning UPS tracking by reference with my phone number gets the result

On the Way

Estimated delivery: Monday, March 21 by 7:00 P.M.

Seems a little odd that a custom high spec'ed Studio with 18th-22nd eta is prep'ed to ship before the stock studio display (or even the new ipad air) with a solid 3/18.

Bought the base M1 Max model to arrive March 18th. No movement yet. Hoping it is shipping from a US location.
Same here. I think you are right. Usually the set configs are in the US and don’t go to shipping status until mid-week.

Thanks. That's what I've been trying and it's still not coming up. Mine also changed to preparing on Saturday. Same machine but I got 2TB.
