Not upset. Just SUUUUUUUPER frustrated  Apple's delivery window is by Friday this week. @will16 what was the date your Apple shipping confirmation gave you?
The original estimated delivery window was 4/19-4/26. Looks like it will be delivered 1 week early for me.

My Ultra 20/64 128 8TB just changed to Preparing for Shipping and CC is charged. Almost comical as it's $7700 for a thick loaded Mini, and that's edu pricing. Let's see how long this takes. I have express shipping but doubt it's really going to make a difference.

In case anyone else is in a similar situation... I decided 8 days was too long for a package to sit at a UPS facility without an additional scan. I called UPS International Department and they explained that they consider the package to be lost and proceeded to give me a case number. They also explained that they have a "contract" with Apple where Apple is responsible for sending out a replacement in the event that UPS loses track of a package. That led me to creating a case with Apple, which will take up to 2 business days to investigate and respond back to me with details. If it's determined that the package is lost in transit, then Apple has to build a new BTO and send it out again, which is likely several additional weeks.

I honestly would have kept waiting patiently (until Friday when the Apple committed date was) until I saw that others had shipped out after mine and seem to have made their way out of the Hong Kong UPS shipping facility, while mine seems as though it's still there.

Hopefully nobody else is in this position but if you are, perhaps this information can help you.

I have a custom config and my tracking is DHL from Netherland. By the way I have only added 1 TB to the base M1 Max.

That's good to hear. When did you order? My Ultra hasn't budged on the predicted 8-10 weeks since I ordered on March 12th, also an edu order. I was starting to wonder whether edu orders had lower priority or something. I know Apple used to have something called "strategic allocation" that prioritized orders of different kinds when availability was insufficient.

They TOTALLY have lower priority. When I was initially ordering I had forgot to switch over to the EDU area, and it was literally like 2-3 weeks faster. But I still went over as I saved like $800. However, ordering now, its the same timeframe.

Exactly...

For us Americans, there is a flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage that is in the air RIGHT NOW!

So the whole "2 week long down... nothing is getting out" is just not true.

VERY interesting. Thanks for the pointer. Do we know if all the shipments to US go from HK to Anchorage or it depends on the final US state destination ? Say New Jersey vs California….

Also, is it correct to assume that your shipment is on that flight if UPS tracking says “left facility” or there is no indiction that your shipment is on the plane ?

Everything that I've gotten from apple... phones, iPads, computers... they've all come through Anchorage.

The iPad I bought for my daughter that arrived on Monday started UPS tracking in Ontario, CA which is in Southern California. It then made its way to her in Oregon.

I'm not certain that I read it correctly, but a post here a few days ago appeared to say that someone who lives in Alaska received his Mac Studio via China > Alaska > Kentucky > Alaska.

As far as I know, all computers destined for North America go through Anchorage. It would appear that they may also all go through Louisville, no gettin' off the plane at Anchorage :)

I believe everyone stops in Anchorage at a minimum to refuel :)
It's a long flight from China to the US

My order just departed HK apparently and is scheduled for a Thursday delivery to the Netherlands. Original order was on March 22 and original delivery estimate was 25-29 April. Arrived in HK on the 8th where it hung around and drank some beers with a load of other Mac Studios for a while :)

Does your order shipped with ups or DHL directly from China? Are you a resident of the Netherlands?
