Thanks, depending on how long the Display is delayed I may opt to cancel it and go for the Dell UltraSharp instead
From whom did you get that email ? Did they say why ? What makes you hope ?
Seems that lots of ultras are delayed.
I called Apple in Sweden today and got the return period extended to 30-days for the StudioMax. Also figured that it's good that they know about the problem here too. And if the delivery between the StudioMax and the Studio Display is more then 14-days, I was welcome to call them again. She was very understanding.
Now I can get my joy up again and wait for the arrivals 😁

I just had a failed payment notification email (card expired), so seems my Mac Studio might ship soon. To save searching:

Called Apple support who told me to call when both pieces have arrived (Mac Studio + Studio Display) if there are any problems. Said they’ll sort out any problems then (similar to @Lioness~ ’s report).

arghh! Got a notice from UPS app to say my Studio will be delivered tomorrow morning, while I'm in the office. Will have to wait until I get home in the evening.
The next 24-hours will be a more agonising wait than the past 6 weeks!!

I did a chat with Apple online and they immediately said I could have a 30 day return window, but gave no documentation or anything to support that. And they said that I need to contact Apple to request the exception when I want to return it. Confusiung. I'm just going to drop by the apple store when I get it and see what they say.

I must be in the same boat (er, plane) as many of you. Order shipped 06 May, credit card charged, AppleCare activated. UPS still has my expected delivery as today by 7pm, yet online it's still listed as being at the airport in Hong Kong. Apple's website still has 19 May as delivery date. Maybe just a delay in updating on UPS site, but I have a feeling it's not arriving today... (M1 Ultra 48-core, 128GB memory, 4TB SSD).
Your Studio is in about the exact same status as mine.
Apple shows 19 May, UPS shows 10 May (tomorrow) and it hasn't left Hong Kong. I suspect we're on the same shipment. I'd say the 19 May date is more doable.

Now says Shipping to Store and MAY 19th for my Mac Studio, but I have yet to get an email with any other info. It originally said was coming in late July, then updated to say June 10-17 and now May 19th.
Is that normal?

You're not the first person to get these sort of updates. During these crazy times I think this may be the new norm.

That happened to me initially as well... the CC hold was there for a few days, then vanished, then a few days later it was ready to ship.

I wasn't aware of this problem. I've changed my signature text colour to one that's visible in dark mode and not overly intrusive in light mode.

However, Apple said during its Q2 earnings call on April 28th that there were significant production delays at Shenzhen.
