Happy to say that my Apple Studio Max arrived today - well ahead of Apple’s initial estimate of 1st half of June.

From one of your earlier posts, delivery to the U.K:

Ordered: 19/03
Delivery Estimate: 15/06 - 27/06
Credit card: Showed amount pending: 29/04
Status change to preparing to ship: today 03/05

Received my base mac studio with 2tb ssd and 64 gb ram today! ordered 3/31. northeast US.

Some of us have the same configuration as you, except 32 core graphics, and ordered within a day or two of when you did, but are just getting our credit cards charged now.

Your delivery is a positive sign; hopefully we'll receive our orders soon.

Something that I don't fully understand about the order process is how Apple is handling credit card transactions.

I'm attaching a screen capture from my bank's iPhone app showing Apple's charge to my credit card this morning. It's for less than the price of my Max (US$3200) because I had a credit with Apple.

In the normal course, the "Posted Date" field would change in the next 24-48 hours from "Pending" to the date that the charge is posted, either May 11 or May 12, 2022.

I want to see whether that happens or whether the charge remains "Pending" for longer. If I understand correctly, some people say that the whole transaction has actually been cancelled and repeated later, which I understand some retailers do to find out whether there's a problem and/or if the funds are available, at least at that point in time.

I'll do a follow-up post when I know what happens with this transaction. What I'm hoping is that "Pending" will be replaced by May 11 or May 12, followed by "Preparing to Ship".

I don’t fully understand it either. First time using an Apple Card and this is the only transaction even though the computer has shipped

My card having been charged today, May 20 sounds pretty good; 5½ weeks before the start of my original June 27 - July 11 delivery window.
I was originally concerned that my Studio would arrived when I was out of town, but now that it's arriving soon it may arrive during . . . the only other time I am out of town!
Oh well. I'll figure it out.

There's something strange going on with the shipping for these Mac Studios. Mine initially said it would be delivered yesterday to the East Coast USA, but now UPS says delivery tomorrow. However when you click on shipping details tab it says: Label created in China 5/7 and then 5/7 it was en route to Hong Kong.

Today there is an update and Hong Kong is gone and It says 5/11 en route to Taiwan.

So, I think a lot of units are stuck on a boat somewhere still near China.

What's even more odd to me is the Website lists different information than the Apple Store app on my iPhone.

The Studio Display on phone still shows Jun 22 -29 for delivery while the website lists it at May 19 (which is more likely at this point).

They need to work on their consistency.

UPS has flights for routing Hong Kong > Taoyuan > Anchorage> Louisville.

Yeah still a long trip to get to South Carolina

Your UPS info (four posts up) says that your Mac Studio was stuck at Hong Kong airport for four days, which suggests that there's still a freight backlog there. Routing some freight via Taoyuan, which is only 700km away, may be part of addressing that. A search shows that UPS/Apple sometimes route MacBooks, iPads, etc. through Taoyuan. Once your computer is headed for Anchorage, it should move very quickly to Louisville and then South Carolina.

Stuck in Hong Kong for four days, and delivery was delayed until the 13th. Quite sure it will be delayed further to next week.

In an earlier post, you say that your Max shipped on May 7th. It would be useful to know when it got to Hong Kong airport and whether it's still there or has left for Anchorage. If the latter, posts from others suggest that you'll get it this week.

UK London, Ordered Base Ultra 1tb 64gb on March 21st window April 29th-May16th

Stuck on "Processing" from start til 10th May, message changed around 8th from “we have everything we need to process you order…” to "We’re preparing your order and will notify you when it ships.”

Today 11th the card was charged but had expired since the order, I had to ring up Apple support and get them to charge a new card as the option to update card details wasn’t available. Then order changed to “preparing to ship” and 8 hours later Despatched and due tomorrow wooo! I guess the stock is already in the UK as is a domestic courier (DPD) for shipping.

Sounds like Apple UK has received some base Ultras and is sending them first to people who ordered that configuration. If there are some that aren't already spoken for, presumably they'll go to the three UK Apple stores and maybe resellers.

Like you, I had to speak with Apple to change my card for payment because I couldn't edit my order's payment method (post #3332 for details). That makes at least three of us in the thread.

My order moved to preparing to ship last night. No charge on the card or email yet - but progress. Hoping it ships this week.

Yes, but you're one of the people whose card was temporarily charged before shipping, right? From your posts yesterday:

"My order for a Max 10/32/16 64gb/1tb had a pending charge last week and the pending dropped off yesterday with no movement.
"Order was placed 3/23 for original delivery window of Jun 10th - June 24th.
"Now sitting in the 22-29th window with no progress."

Yea. The hold stayed for about 5 days then vanished without converting to an actual charge and hasn’t reappeared. Hoping it will ship today and charge the card today.

Well....

Mine says May 19th, but no charges and no shipping info or updates since it said "shipping to store" last Thursday night.

I seriously doubt I'll see my Mac Studio on the 19th, but hope springs eternal.
