I've just taken the plunge and ordered a base Studio M1 Max. 1-2 weeks according to Apple, let's see!
As the Monty Python guys used to say in the "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch... "Luxury!" 🤣

Still, I imagine it will be a long week or two. It always is for me. Good luck!

I'm (im)patiently waiting for my Ultra to go from processing to preparing to ship. Is there any chance it happens before?
(Ordered April 19, Est. Delivery July 13-28).

For another datapoint my order april 14 (New Zealand time so the 13th in the US and much of Europe) has delivery projected for 7-20 July (no change). Spec similar to simonkossen’s.

Unless production capacity has significantly ramped up or the backlog significantly eased I don’t expect our machines to arrive more than a week early at best. Many Ultras here appear to have been close to original estimates, give or take.

I’ll just be happy that mine arrives at all!

I'd guess you'll get it last week of June. Based upon my delivery window (ordered Mar 31 Delivered June 3rd)

I also ordered from them around April 10th and it was first estimated for April 25th. They kept telling me the inventory date was getting pushed back further and further, until finally they just said "we don't have an update". I'm about to cancel and just order from Apple and wait it out. At least I'll have some sort of realistic time frame then.

How's it going on your end with them?
No change on SimplyMac's part. They said they may get inventory in on 6/15 (same canned response), but I highly doubt that due their track record. Partly it's my fault. I should have done more research prior to purchasing it from them. They have a tendency to prolonging deliveries, but sometimes a discount is sometimes hard to pass up.

I ordered an upgraded Ultra from Apple's website a few days ago - which is scheduled to be delivered the beginning to mid September. I didn't cancel the order with SimplyMac yet and wait until August 1st - if not I'll cancel the SimplyMac order and wait for the Apple order. Apple won't charge you until they start to ship the order. So, most likely they won't initiate the charge until mid August. Let's see if SimplyMac can deliver before then.

Either way, keep me posted if you hear anything on your end from SimplyMac.

I ordered my Mac Studio (M1 Max, 64GB Ram, 1TB SSD) on May 28. It originally said it was estimated to arrive at the Apple Store around July 20th, but I just got a happy surprise that it arrived about 6 weeks early today. Just successfully picked it up :)
Good news

Yep, i think the Max pipeline is pretty good now; ultras not so much. At least, not yet

Surprising that Apple will start delivering the M2 from next month (already pre-orderable on Amazon for $ 100 less), but with the M1 Ultra the delays are between 2-3 months.
A friend of mine, ordered Macbook Pro 14 "with M1 Max on February 18th, and as of June 7th, still hasn't received his product.
Apple, what are you doing?

M2 is pretty much a mobile chip with the main gains being power consumption.
It doesn't superseded the M1 Pro, M1 Max or Ultras in the Mac Studio.

M2- 4x performance cores 4 x efficiency cores
M1- Pro 6x performance cores 2 x efficiency cores
M1 Max- 8x performance cores 2 x efficiency cores
M1 Ultra- 16x performance cores 4 x efficiency cores

Apple are doing fine.

Apple are doing fine.

M1 Pro Full = 8x performance cores + 2x efficiency cores. Difference is the GPU with M1 Max.

The weakened version provides 6x performances cores + 2x efficiency cores

Yesterday evening a DHL indicated that my ultra had landed in Amsterdam. This was the first indication since May 30, saying that the package was registered at DHL. This evening it was delivered (via Brussels, to Eindhoven). Furthermore, also somewhat out of the blue I received a message that the studio monitor will arrive tomorrow.
Computer via DHL, monitor via UPS.

Congrats. When did you order?

Waiting for my Studio Ultra and MBP Max is difficult.

well, if apple have ordered an initial stockpile of M2 macs ready for delivery right away, I suspect it will soon be gone and M2 customers will then wait as long as we have!

in my country we can’t order them yet. Delivery in July or any other month is moot right now

March 23. The Ultra is somewhat silent, but clearly audible in the background, which is not silent. The imac was silent
when not performing heavy calculations. After transferring all information to it during the night it appears to work
seamlessly, at least for the first 15 minutes... (-:

Just acknowledging @OldMacWalking who in post #4083 (see page 164) has quietly continued to update the status of our Ultra orders 👏

Had my life been less frantic (exiting a job; restarting a research project; and hey it’s WWDC) I would’ve responded to the call for a volunteer to take over. In the event, it was a pleasant surprise today to discover the table is still active

Every Apple Store in the US had base Mac Studios/Max available for pickup... until they didn't :)

Update: After calling B&H again yesterday and then emailing the MacRumors ongoing list of those who ordered the Mac Studio Ultra along with their ordering configuration, the date ordered, the processing status, and ultimately their receiving date of their Mac Studio. Low and behold today the Mac Studio Ultra was shipped overnight 91 days after it was ordered. We'll see if it arrives safely tomorrow as expected.

Ordered the base Studio today (6/8). The estimated delivery is 6/16-23. That does not seem too bad.

FWIW, availability at the local store was 6/25.

That store date is the outside date if you choose to pick up your order at the store rather than have it delivered to your home. It's unrelated to any stock that the store itself may receive.

Is this new? And is there any way to see if my local store has stock without going in?
