My M1 Max 32 GPU cores with 64 Gb Ram and 1 TB SSD with a projected delivery date of 21. - 23. March just went to "Preparing to Ship".
Ordered 1 of those with same specs + a Studio Display just right now.
Right now delivery ~June 6 for Mac Studio and ~May 18 for Studio Display ??

Mine has also updated to "Preparing for Shipment," but my delivery date has changed from 24 March to 25-30 March. :(

My March 30th delivery had a pending charge on my card for the last few days but it dropped off this morning.

I wonder how many of the Mac Studio and Studio display are already in country vs arriving via air freight ?

Won't know until the tracking updates tomorrow or early Friday morning....

If there are still no mac studio shipped two days from the launch, I think the odds that most of the units are already in the US are very good. We’ll probably see some updates today

I would think the base configs were already in the US. We should see shipment later today or tomorrow. I’ve been trying to see if I can track by reference but it isn’t finding anything yet. Anyone with a base model have any luck with track by reference?

I've purchased a lot of new release made in China items from Apple, and never seen a prep to ship stay as status this close to the Friday. Not really surprising based on recent events, and doesn't mean they aren't already moving, but I kind of doubt it and hate to have gotten my hopes up for a release day delivery.

Are you all creative professionals or is anyone here an average Joe (computer usage-wise) that just wants this for fun? Anyone planning to own this + a MBP? I am keeping my Intel MBP for now, l but I may sell it, as I don't really go out with it at all.
I am a retired electrical engineer and an independent iOS developer of minor repute. I am following my interests, which at the moment is Apple augmented reality. I kept my Intel MBP, but may sell it, as I program from home.

I've got to "Preparing to Ship" overnight...

That simply means the order has been approved and sent to the factory. My Mac Studio has been at “Preparing to Ship” for days. It still says “Arriving Mar 18-22”.

My Studio Display also says “Preparing to Ship”. The status has not advanced to “Shipped” even though UPS shows it has just landed in Japan.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute lol. Hope it shows on Friday and not Monday.

I'm on that 5X109 flight as well, like so many others. :)

UPS shows mine as departed from Narita (Tokyo) at 21:51 so I think it's on this UPS flight to Anchorage:

The Apple status page often won’t change to shipped until it reaches Anchorage or Louisville. A few weeks ago I had a 14” MBP not flip status until after the import scan at Kentucky.
