I wound up ordering the following. I started with the 64GB of unified memory, but cancelled that.

Apple M1 Ultra with 20-core CPU, 48-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine
128GB unified memory
4TB SSD storage

Because of my stop and start order, my delivery is quoted as May 26 - Jun 10.

Did anyone notice if you pick the entry level Mac Studio and upgrade it to the top of the line Ultra, you get faster estimated ship times than picking the higher end Mac and upgrading to the top of the line ultra? I'm curious if that would play out or if it's just an error in their system.

Why did you change your mind and decided you need that whopping 128 GB of RAM?

My configuration (M1 Max 10/32, 64GB, 1TB) now has an 8-10 week estimated ship time in Japan. Seeing that, I don't feel too bad about my 24 March arrival date.

Is any other country seeing (what could be) late May delivery dates?
Apologies if it's bad form to quote myself, but we're now at 10-12 weeks here for the above config.

I've been following estimated dates since the Apple Store opened up again when the event finished and I saw ... first all configurations were 18 Mar or 21st-23rd March, some hours later, the M1 Ultras were delayed to late April, yesterday morning anything with 64GB of RAM or more as well got late May, just M1 Max with 32GB can get early/mid April as it is now. Anything with 64GB RAM or more currently is 10 to 12 weeks, crazy sales, or not too much stock to begin with.

I was tempted to cancel my M1 Max 24 GPU 32GB // 1TB (MBP 14") in favor for these ones when I saw the first hour estimates, but now, it's even crazier than with MBPs ... and given I'm on the 6th waiting week and a "portable Mac Studio" is arriving to me and I needed a laptop update, I'm gonna stick with it and forget the Mac Studio till months later or maybe some generations later.

edit: Good luck with all your shippings and orders, and congrats to the first ones that ordered it fast, the waiting game is really hard

That’s really funny that you say that, because I’ve been thinking about it all day. Always wanted to be a tech YouTuber. 4K video editing, here I come!

YOLO! Some people want to pay $$$$ for art and furniture. I throw my money at the digital stuff. Way more fun

The new Magic Mouse is here. It also comes with a braided cable which is actually very nice. It clicks a little bit louder than my old white Magic Mouse which came with my 2017 iMac 5K.
However, the mouse wobbles a bit while laying flat on my desk.

Wish they had just brought back the Space Grey models released with the Intel iMac Pro, but I understand how they want some silver accents to match the Studio.

I was able to get the SB ones before they went off, so I'm covered for the moment.

But you still can't plug it in and work. No sale -- I have the worst luck in rechargeables running out of power at just the wrong time!

Just ordered the base model Studio with 1 TB of storage. I'll be trading in my base M1 Mini with 512 Gb of storage and I'm sure the M1 Max chip with 32 GB Ram will be a massive upgrade.

I agree with others on this thread that it is likely overkill for my current needs which revolve around photo/video editing, but I am thinking long term this machine should last 5-10 years.

Estimated delivery April 8-April 15, here's hoping it ships earlier than anticipated! I can't wait to get this thing!

My Windows Server is tossing a ton of warnings regarding 4-5 of my hard drives. So I'm replacing my server with the Mac Studio. Figured I should replace my current order of the Mac Studio baseline + 1TB NVMe with Mac Studio 10-core CPU + 32-core GPU, 64GB RAM and 2TB NVMe but then delivery won't happen until June+..

I suppose I'll beg for my current order for a Mac Studio with 10-core CPU, 24-core GPU, 32GB RAM and 1TB NVMe will suffice. I will be adding 4x 2TB Samung T7 external NVMe for additional storage.

I could always try to pickup a Mac Studio in store. But as there are no Apple Stores in my country I have to rely on premium resellers and from what I understand they won't have access to anything other than the two basic SKU's?

I've not ordered the Mac Studio yet but ordered the Studio Display for it already!

I noticed the display order times were scampering-off into the far distance (May already) and don't want to find myself with a Studio Mac and no means to check if it all works.

Not decided on a spec but given the performance of the Max I may stick with the base model with a 1TB drive as the only upgrade (I typically work directly off the 10GbE link to my NASes but the base 512GB SSD isn't enough working room).

I'm coming from an iMac Pro that died again recently - power board fried... again. Giving up on it so grabbed a 24" iMac M1 as a temporary measure until the Studio arrives.

And there we go.. Tossed in another order.. My first one is going to be delivered early April, the other one early June. Lets see if Apple lets me test my first one with extended return times so I can have it running until my second one arrives..

I'm one of the 16 who have ordered the M1 Ultra. Though I opted for 1TB storage as I normally offload to D/NAS.

I've a delivery date of late April, which is fine - my Mac Pro (Late 2019) is ticking very well.

I ordered the Mac Studio M1 Max 10C/24GPU/32GB RAM an hour after the Store came online. At first, I decided I didn’t need one. Then I got the idea of selling my M1 Mac Mini.

I went with 512GB, which seems on the low side. However, I have a blazing fast Samsung X5 2TB that I can use with it. So I saw no need on spending more money on SSD space.

Also, I already have a MacBook Pro M1 Max 10/32/32 with 1 TB SSD. So this makes it all complete. Didn’t buy a Studio Display. I want a 32” screen, like I have now with the AOC U32U1. And the AOC has the same brightness as the Studio Display anyway. :)

So now you have a Mac Studio which is slower than your MacBook Pro. Strange. ?

B..but your AOC has only ~139.87 ppi and the Studio Display has 218 ppi. I can't wrap my head around how people are able to regularly switch between good and bad ppi counts. ? When my employer gave me a 27" 4K display (~163.18 ppi) I first was sure it was broken, before I realised it had much lower than retina resolution. I gave it back after a month of trying. Since then I'm working again with my 15" MBP only.

I just ordered a Mac Studio M1 Max 10 CPU/32 GPU/32 RAM and 2TB. It’s going to replace my still running 2017 27” iMac 5K i5, 24GB ram and 512GB SSD. I also have a pair of LG Ultrafine 32UN880-B. I wanted a new 27” or 32” iMac but looks like that’s not going to happen any time soon if ever!!!

Poking around on the store app, it looks like the biggest delays are from either M1 Max with 64gb of RAM, or any M1 Ultra system (memory and storage seem to have no effect on shipping times). Anything with those options are at 10-12 weeks. Is this what it’s looking like in other countries?
