That's DP4, which is why Photos is not working. Use Catalina Patcher to download and install DP5, then it should work.Latest updates, Macmini 3,1 early 2009. Maps, yes. Photos, no. Bluetooth and WiFi working fine.
Performance on unsupported Macbook - DP4 versus DP5.
It seems that DP4 for me is faster. What are you guys and gals experiencing? Thanks.

Is there a new version of the Catalina patch? This is how it seems, but can not find it clearly on your GitHub.
Can you upload your log? It'll be under the Window > Log menu of Catalina Patcher.Has anyone had any problems with creating a bootable usb for beta 5. I keep getting "an error occurred while attempting to save a disk image". Already have beta 4 on three devices and am using the same 128gb usb for the install.
If you are using the APFS Boot Patch instead of the APFS ROM patch, try reinstalling the patches only from your patched Mojave 10.14.6 usb installer onto the Mojave drive. It may be that somehow both the Catalina and Mojave drives APFS Boot patch ended up placing their files on the same drive in its EFI partition.
You'll need to upgrade your video card in order to get full graphics acceleration. As explained on the webpage:Hi, I was delighted to see the cMP3.1 is supported - Installed yesterday successfully but having a couple of issues. My resolution is stuck at 800x600, holding Alt while selecting Scaled in display properties does not show any other available resolutions. GPU fan is going at 100% all the time, even from boot.
My 3.1 has a ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB in it. Anyone else got this problem?
Thanks for all the hard work getting it to this point. I am very surprised to get this far and the system is performing well, apart from the graphics problem.
- AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx series graphics acceleration: Currently, it is not possible to achieve full graphics acceleration under Catalina on any machines that use a Radeon HD 5xxx or 6xxx series GPU. If you have a machine with one of these GPUs installed, I'd advise upgrading it if possible (can be done in 2010/2011 iMacs, iMac11,x-12,x), disabling the dedicated GPU if using a 2011 15" or 17" MacBook Pro (MacBookPro8,2/8,3, instructions to do so can be found here), or not installing Catalina. Running Catalina without full graphics acceleration will result in extremely poor system performance.
Thanks dosdude1 - I am planning a metal compatible upgrade but that’s probably a month away. I know I’m not expecting acceleration on my ancient card, but 1900x1080 is standard on earlier MacOS so 800x600 is a bit of a comedown! You'll need to upgrade your video card in order to get full graphics acceleration. From there would I be able to attempt and install Mojave with dosdue1 macos catalina patcher?Simply, install High Sierra. If you mean go back with yopur settings and users, it´not posible. Unless you have a backup.
It will run like crap if you don’t replace your graphics card. The Radeon 5000-6000 series don’t support graphics acceleration under Mojave OR Catalina so you won’t have a worthwhile experience running either of them with your card.Does anyone know how this would run on a late 2011 imac 3.1ghz, 16gb ram, with a amd radeon 6570m 256mb graphics card? Would like some advice on if i should run dosdude1 mojave patcher or go straight to catalina?
What is a good graphics car to run that is affordable for the mac pro 3.1?You'll need to upgrade your video card in order to get full graphics acceleration. As explained on the webpage:
