You do realize that only does an upgrade install of over your existing installation. It won't wipe out your existing installation and is the only way to purge out the patches applied by the post-install patcher.
Yes, i realize. But, fortunately, updates conserves evrerything.Just overwrirte same kernels.

@dosdude1 @ASentientBot Some remaining macOS Catalina B10 minor glitches to fix (on Macmini late 2010 Core 2 Duo Penryn 2.4 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, EXT usb 3.0 harddisk, Samsung S24D300 connected via HDMI (Macmini4.1) . (On 1.3.3 patched Mojave 10.4.6 Supplemental Update 2 all four above features work fine)

1) Inverted \| -> <> keys on 2 different usb wired PC Italian keyboard (fixed with karabiner-elements util).
2) Num Lock\Caps Lock\Scroll Lock leds OFF on PC keyboard (functions work) Workaround: Captin mac app
3) Wifi menu icon greyed (as disabled, shown normal after clicking on it) but wifi function working & stable.
4) CPU uses 100% after boot, without heavy processes shown. After about 30 min it go down to 15/40%

LOL that is one nasty keyboard...

Upgrade/reinstall wont affect those archives that are not rewritten

That seems questionable. If the full installer didn't purge out the system kernel extensions on an upgrade install, you wouldn't need to reapply the usb injector patch which obviously is the case.

I haven't visited this thread in a while. Last time I checked it out the conclusion had been reached that non-Metal Macs were a lost cause... and now that's not the case? Full support has actually been accomplished?

Can someone get me up to date on this?

Yep, that's correct. Full acceleration with non-Metal video cards under Catalina has been possible for many months now.

Cool. I'd given up on it, and the iOS 13 beta was enough of a headache for me, but it's good to see you guys continued on.

I'm running on an HFS+ Fusion Drive. Is that gonna present any roadblocks?

DP11/PB10 was launched. That is really odd, less then a week ago the previous one. Ok, I guess we shall proceed to the download, since the dosdude1 app always downloads the latest beta. Am I right?
Later edit: This seems to be the Golden Master. Does the dosdude1 app download it?

Yes, it will ALWAYS download the latest copy.

Ok, I was thinking that the Golden Master is different from a standard DP/PB, so I tough the app might not download it. I have started downloading it, at 312 kb/s maximum, this shall take a while. As usual, I will probably keep the PC online for the night.

Unfortunatly, due to some unknown issues, my download speed has been very slow lately. I sometimes get less then a gb on hour. This is why I want to be sure I get the latest beta, this takes a long time. This can be really frustrating, as you probably realise. I hope Apple releases the OS the to general public soon, so I could get it from App Store.

I have trouble setting transparency on the system. I have already installed using BlueSky.sh and the result is that the system no longer reboots after that. I tried manual installation but I can't because the system says I don't have permission to change in the folders where I have to copy the HIToolbox and SkyLight files. Please how do I resolve this and what else should I install to use macOs Catalina.

Just use dark mode for now. I'll be adding a nice automated patcher for @testheit and @pkouame's transparency patches to a later version of Catalina Patcher.

The HIToolbox patch from Julian's latest release of BlueSky works however Skylight doesn't work but the patched SkyLight jackluke posted around September 17 does work

Do these patches break the Auto appearance functionality? I have a MacBook 6,1 and I can't seem to get that function to work. I installed latest beta like you 'install to this machine'. The Hitoolbox and Skylight you mentioned look great and work. Any idea about the auto function? Thanks

So... I'm looking forward to Catalina coming out and I'd love to try this on my 2010 MacBook Pro (nVidia 330M GPU). I'd like to thank you for all this amazing work!

However one thing I'm wondering about. What happens when I use the installer and an update comes out? Will it break my working config? I assume this has already been witnessed with the various beta updates that have come out so far.

Perhaps this is a FAQ but the thread is sooo long :) Maybe this FAQ could be added to the start post? :)

Edit: Oops, so even though this was a long thread, the answer was only 3 pages ago

Still it might be good to have this in the startpost so people like me don't ask for it? :)
