finally my wonderful hack book the Medion laptop is also perfectly finished with the DP2 from 10.15.4.
And you @******* may not like your Hackintosh here
spare writing. Here are still a lot of people who have Hackintosh!
"Here" are not a lot of people liking Hackintosh. You are still in the wrong thread, but there are other threads on MacRumors especially made for fans of such machines. Would it not be more effective for all involved if you´d post there? Or you´d find OSX86 or TonyMac sites more rewarding.

hello lars ... where is there a special "hackintosh thread" for unsupported Mac machines in the Macrumors forum ? thanks for an info.
in the German forums (the 3 pieces ... I think YOU probably know them all) is only about the latest Hackintosh with the latest hardware, but not about the older, no longer supporting Mac's.
That's why and that's why I'm here. By the way, can you also be reached in the German forums or under Insanelymac?

write me please an PN

Ok got it

I understand why you feel that way. This forum and any forum is never "wrong" if it provides useful information, so hackintosh users like me and others will continue to monitor this forum and to donate to the DosDude cause as it continues to be very helpful.

However, what is "wrong" is for any of us who own hackintoshes to post hackintosh-specific questions in this forum. I may not always succeed, but I always try to make sure that the few questions I ask and the few suggestions that I make are relevant to this forum and I post my hackintosh-specific questions in other forums.

he @******* what are you complaining about here, see above,
friend @deeveedee also has a Hackbook 6.2 !! and he also writes here and,
like me, he is very happy with it.

And still what you @******* are not an admin and / or moderator here!
You do not determine who writes what here, ok!
I don´t speak your language. Sorry.

Deeveedee, I am absolutely with you. That´s the main problem. In this thread, all the machines are supposed to be macs, so we have an standard from which we can work it out. Thas my only concern.

Besides, and not relevant at all, I have used, and use, hackingtosh machines. But I don´t include them in this thread. Not for questions, not for comments, not for answers.

@******* yes that's right .... we definitely don't speak the same language and we also have different opinions!
YOU also get no more likes from me !!!

I fully agree with the opinion of @deeveedee !!!
No you don´t. He is not at all the same opinion as you. And of course, I will help, as always, with any problem you have with your machine. Just saying it´s not the proper thread. Just that.

@******* say...But I don´t include them in this thread.

What is that supposed to mean, YOU .. you do not determine that, it is not YOUR thread!
Many people are also interested in what I have already posted here to get ahead on
your unsupported Mac. What I post here serves the general public !!!
And you can't forbid that !!

What word don´t you understand??? "Unsupported macs". Not "Unsupported machines".

@******* ... learn English properly!
Personally I don't think this is the right place to post Hackintosh stuff. But in any case, this disagreement is cluttering the thread more than the actual "problem". Please cut it out.

Agreed. There's a lot of overlap between Hackintosh and unsupported Macs, and benefits for both communities. Anyone who is interested/can contribute should be welcome here, provided they don't spam the thread with irrelevant posts (which has been a non-issue so far).

Today i tried something stupid...

Bought a hardwrk Sata kit and 2 ssds.
Made a raid and wanted to instal catalina.

Not working.
"Installation not possible because this disk is part of an appleRAID".

Is there a way to get it to work?

Thx

absolutely correct @ASentientBot ... I also think Hackintosh unsupported machines have a lot in common with original Mac unsupported machines. And tips for a successful installation, especially with new previews, should NOT be distinguished from both Hackintosh users and normal Mac users.

Only the user @******* triggered the whole argument here. Before, nobody asked where I got @Pinarek, a good idea to customize the .dist file in the update folder. There is no difference here this "Pinarek method" in orig. Mac or Hackintosh to use.

I think that both options, i.e. orig. Mac and Hackintosh, complement.

I didn't learn anything from your update patch but it inspired me to actually work on it. I wasn't sure what the issue was beforehand but now that I've looked into it, I've learnt a bit. My patch just implemented things in a different way but your method works well for APFS supported devices.

From Mojave, macOS does not allow to install over RAID. But if you install it in a single drive, and then clone it to a RAID, it will work like a charm.

Yes, I did both: reapplied detected patches for the MacPro5,1: rebooted and no integrated audio. Then again booted from the boot USB and tried applying the "Legacy Audio Patch" from @dosdude1's patcher and still no integrated audio. 😭

Probably you should use the AppleHDA.kext from Mojave, but since you have a Metal GPU don't you use the hdmi/displayport audio output?

Thank you. I have looked at the shell script and it makes sense.
What is the purpose of catalinaswufix4amfi.command. Is it a post patch? I have a Mac Pro 5,1 with updated WiFi/BLe and Video that do not need patching.

Without catalinaswufix4amfi.command you can't continue the OTA stage2 installer (it whitelist all the unsupported catalina macs).

Secondly with a Metal GPU you could keep AMFI enabled, but since seems a new apple 10.15.4 security measure for patched framework/kext signatures, it's advisable to disable too and the script also does that through nvram and preboot com.apple.boot.plist.

This script doesn't harm nothing, safe and tested.
