I have both Zoom and Skype problems with Catalina 10.15.4. There is no access to the Mic or Camera although these are working fine in the system.
In System Preferences — Security & Privacy setting — Microphone (or Camera), there is no entry for either Skype or Zoom. This is what it should look like (1 and 2 screenshots) and this is what I see (3 and 4).
Is there a fix? It seems related to Security and Privacy setting.

For zoom you could check this example: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-10-15-catalina-on-unsupported-macs.2183772/post-28317368

Thanks for the suggestion but, sadly, that does not seem to work anymore! This is with the new Zoom 4.69 from April 2 update. If this damned amfi issue, etc., cannot be fixed to solve these types of problems, it's a bit of a showstopper for Catalina. BTW this iMac has K1100M GPU upgrade.

You have a Metal GPU (can work with amfi), you could try to reset Camera and Microphone permissions from terminal:
tccutil reset Camera ; tccutil reset Microphone

I used your commands...but still in the patch updater :

Have I to run the commands after booting of installer ?

Serviteur,
I believe that is just a list internal to the Catalina patching tracking that the SSE4.2 emulator had been installed. What I do is check in the 'System Report...' from the 'About This Mac' dialog. Click on the Extensions item under Software and you should see that AAAMouSSE has disappeared from the list.

It was a good suggestion but does not work. See screenshot. This is really a bummer if it cannot be resolved b/c this machine is being setup for Covid-19 home distance learning and the school forces use of Zoom! Everything else works fine but lack of Skype and Zoom kills the project I would have to revert to Mojave.

I am running 10.15.4 on an iMac11,1 with the ATI 4850 and am seeing the same issues with firefox and discord

It doesnt seem to actually be prompting to ask for permission to the devices

I also seem to see the following error(s) which might be related?

CS_PLATFORM_BINARY set but not AppleSigned; prompt policy is Deny

'/Applications/Discord.app/Contents/Frameworks/Discord Helper (Renderer).app/Contents/MacOS/Discord Helper (Renderer)'} attempted to call TCCAccessRequest without the com.apple.private.tcc.manager.check-by-audit-token entitlement

I just tried without using Nick's Catalina Loader providing native backlight but the same issue.
Also tried disabling Gatekeep and reinstalling Skype and Zoom.
Same issue remains with Security & Privacy Mic and Camera settings.
Since my K1100M is Metal and GrimMethos is reporting similar issues for non-Metal 4850 with FF and Discord, it looks like a more basic issue still remains with the two Patchers.
Has anyone got Zoom, Skype, FF and Discord (latter two no problem for me) working with 10.15.4 on a 11,1 iMac with either a Metal upgrade or a non-Metal card?

One thing I do notice, the iMac camera LED blinks green for a second when trying to setup Video in Zoom but does not work thereafter.

I looked in Console and see these errors for Skype and Zoom. When I try to start Skype the green camera LED flashes for a second but no camera.

dosdude1 and jackluke,

Do you thjink there might be a possible Patcher solution to this Security & Privacy Mic and Camera/amfi issue for Catalina 10.15.4 on iMac 11,1?
Since it is occurring with both Metal and original 4850 GPU, might it be a deeper problem than Metal support?

Tried enabling SIP although not recommended but still same problem after reboot.

This is so annoying—the 11,1 iMac is working perfectly except for this problem.

Well done @ErkSmeijer !

Using these from a Catalina terminal:
Code:
rm -r /Applications/zoom.us.app/Contents/Frameworks/ZoomOpener.app
rm -r ~/.zoomus
fixed the Camera and Microphone allowing on 10.15.4 Catalina "Security & Privacy" Privacy tab. Adding it correctly to the Privacy permissions list.
Great! How can I do this with:
Facebook messenger?
Vodafone Console?
Skype?

(Home Working... please, help a newbie...)

I'm not having any issues with Skype 8.58 on my MacPro 3,1 with GTX680 and Logitech C525 webcam under 10.15.4. As for Zoom, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole since to shunts through Chinese servers.

Maybe you'll have better luck with the next update which I assume should be soon...

Ex-NSA hacker drops new zero-day doom for Zoom

I agree about Zoom but since the school mandates it for remote classes, nothing can be done. It's a sole-purpose Mac for this remote learning in days of plague, so China can harvest all the lesson plans on final year university math they want.
My 3,1 like yours has no problems, but I'm not letting Zoom on that.

Maybe we need to look at the zero-day and see if they really can take over the camera and mic, since that is the one thing we cant use :)
I want to say this was working under 10.15.3 so I am sure one of the people smarter than me will figure this out.

Does not work for me.
I've found on Facebook messenger, if go to applications, right click messenger, show package content, go to contents, macOS, you'll se a messenger icon (exec). if you open it with terminal, a terminal windows will appear and also the messenger app window, if you choose one of your contacts to do a video call, you'll be asked that terminal needs permission to access microphone and camera privacy...

this trick works with zoom as well but grants access to the camera and mic only when launched through the terminal

Nice find but the user of this iMac would freak trying to use a Terminal workaround. I'm just going to roll it back to Mojave for the time being. I'm helping some student with no money on this project and they live a 2-hour drive across Tokyo from me so simpler is better in a time of no unnecesary journeys and covid plague.
I hope a solution for Catalina 10.15.4 can be found.

Temporary solution for the camera/mic permissions, provided by an expert on /r/OSXTweaks: https://github.com/jslegendre/tccplus/

I linked this in Discord a little while ago, but seems like many of you missed it. This tool will let you add the permissions manually for apps that don't prompt you. It makes manually editing TCC.db totally unnecessary!

I tried to use tccplus but it fails to build and doesn't work for me. Any idea?

You have to run it from desktop or downloads or applications folder without any subfolder, and don't renaming the app.
I ran the script from my download folder, but it still boots back to the desktop,
im guessing I'm one of the unlucky ones on installing update s OTA.
