Using another USB memory stick now. USBOpenCoreAPFSloader2.app runs fine with this.

diskutil list shows the two partitions. Sorry for the trivial problem... and thanks again.

(The memory stick used previously was 1GB. Disk Utility, when erasing, generates only one sub partition for it, maybe due to size, and two subpartitions for the memory stick now used which is 8GB)

Exactly, probably your 1 GB USB "brand name" drive doesn't supported the multipartitioning scheme as the apple GUID map standards (two default partitions), you can use the 7.7 GB as you want, this won't alter the OpenCoreAPFSloader scheme.

Now for example when you make an USB macOS Installer, after that you can use USBOpenCoreAPFSloader2 "Near an USB device without erasing", in order to have a dual booting from the same USB macOS Installer drive.

Can someone guide me, im on 10.15.4 on a MacBookPro8,1 (13'' e. 2011), I am experiencing that some apps don't Open for some reason, I was on 10.15.1 and then jumped to 10.15.4 with dosdude newest install tool via usb, when first boot it said there was a problem with the patches, and that they had to be re installed, they reinstalled, but now it happens this, after some time it appear (the app) and I got the error or unexpected shut of an app message from Mac OS, they not appear on dock until that, I have restarted the computer, normally and with cmd opt pr, any ideas?

Streaming services (like Netflix) doesn't work on safari. Is it possible to "get it done"? I use Friendly Streaming to acess Streaming services...
I have had no luck with streaming Netflix in Safari as Silverlight from Microsoft is 32 bit which Catalina won't run as hasn't been updated from Microsoft for years

Physically where does the file "patchupdaterd" live? macOS Catalina is complaining that it needs to be removed manually.

Thank you.
Patchupdaterd resides in a folder called sbin but don't know where it is exactly

Have you seen my previous post?
I have now tried it with Cyberghost VPN app and unfortunately it doesn't work. If I try, I get this back:

abc:~ abc$ xattr -cr /Applications/CyberGhost\ VPN.app
abc:~ abc$ sudo codesign -f -s - /Applications/CyberGhost\ VPN.app
/Applications/CyberGhost VPN.app: replacing existing signature
xcrun: error: invalid active developer path (/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools), missing xcrun at: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/xcrun
/Applications/CyberGhost VPN.app: the codesign_allocate helper tool cannot be found or used

Do you have any suggestions? Would be great!

Edit: I had to run xcode-select --install first to b able to run the code.

I'm testing 10.15.3 on MacBook6,1. Many things goes well. I have some issue with Safari on some sites. Some buttons are not pressing, or some content is not showing self. In Google Chrome the same sites go OK.
Is that because the Metal unsupported issue on my Nvidia 9400 card, or maybe other reason?
For example, I couldn't press the button "Download" in NightOwl site.
Maybe It is just permissions issue for some system programs, or something else?

P.S Now I am testing the NightOwl button in Safari again, and it is pressing without issue. It means that issue appears unstable.

Have you seen my previous post?
Just a question: Do you know if this causes some serious security problems or not more than we're already having with SIP disabled?

And maybe a second question: Is the taskgated problem something specific regarding the unsupported Macs or is it a problem all users are currently facing? I'm sorry if the question is stupid but I'm just not having any developer / scripting background.

The problem with using Safari on Netflix is that your hardware needs HEVC support.

"HEVC support is hardware accelerated on Apple's recent Macs with Intel Kaby Lake processors, starting with the 2015 27-inch iMac, the early 2016 MacBook, and the 2016 MacBook Pro. The AMD Radeon Pro chipset included in the 2016 MacBook Pro also includes HEVC decoding support. Some Nvidia GPUs such as the GTX 9 and 10 series cards do as well."

macOS High Sierra includes support for H.265 video, but Final Cut Pro users are still waiting

Wont it be duplication. Are version 1 and 2 having different options. Having 2 startup disk on same usb stick is good idea but my question is does both startup disk have similar functions or different.

Well I fixed my issue with the Safari extensions not activating the hard way! I have a base model iMac 11,2 upgraded RAM to 16 GB. I started out in the recovery and deleted all volumes (had all that I needed to be saved in my iCloud 200 GB account). Deleted the Catalina data volume (so it would not confuse the High Sierra installer).

I reinstalled High Sierra from the recovery. Installed all of the Safari extension programs (that I believe I needed) and installed the newest Patched Catalina.

The reinstall went very well and in that I installed over a pristine High Sierra I should have no bugs / issues and so far so good. I am letting the computer index now.

Ps. all needed extension in Safari are working well (1PASSWORD) and others. :) (I am now running Build 19E287 patcher 1.4.1)

There are:
- version 1 (blue icon) uses a refind boot to point opencore and doesn't include the telemetrap.kext
- version 2 (green icon) uses a direct boot to opencore on an external EFI Boot and does include the telemetrap.kext

Syncretic "telemetrap.kext" is mainly for Penryn Core2Duo machines to prevent the kernel panic (or bootloop) keeping the stock com.apple.telemetry.plugin , i5 or i7 cpus instead can use the stock telemetry plugin without any patch.

I realised later, that though USBOpenCoreAPFSloader2 had finished normally, the alt/opt bootselector wouldn't show the new green EFI boot symbol from the USB stick.
I remembered your hint about EFI and EFI 1. I guess in my case, EFI is already there on booting without stick, because it is on the internal disk as a side effect of APFS ROM patching (even without the patcher's software APFS option; with it, there are two EFIs shown by bootselector). See 2nd photo.
As you suggested in an earlier post, it turns out that the EFI your script will be working on is actually EFI 1 in my case. Experimentally in usbopencoreapfsloader2.command I replaced /Volumes/EFI with /Volumes/EFI\ 1, in the lines with unzip and bless:
sudo unzip -qo -P jackluke ~/*/USBOpenCoreAPFSloader2.app/Contents/Resources/OpenCore -d /Volumes/EFI\ 1
sudo bless --folder /Volumes/EFI\ 1/EFI/BOOT --label "OpenCoreAPFSloader2"
and infact the desired result is now produced. So I now get the green symbol, and the EFI looks good in the finder.
Sorry about the dirty fiddling in your code, but it was just for testing.

For me the version 2 with teletrap.kext is better that version 1, because I have a Penryn Core2Duo (T9600). I now have the OpenCore booter next to the bootable USB installer 10.15.4supp/1.4.1, albeit produced with the dirty script. Plus the version 1 on a separate volume, same USB disk.

(one more observation - my memory stick had blanks in its name so in main.scpt, the transformation to diskx with diskutil info did not work. I removed the blanks from the name and all is fine.)

Yes I have the same issue with Safari as well but it happens at random but seems to work better after cleaning the history

That's strange because by default after you login to macOS desktop, no "EFI" should be automatically mounted, so the volume name "EFI" is free to use for any internal or external device, but you should have some third party app installed that after login automatically unhidden (or mount) the internal "EFI" in Terminal or Finder (probably the APFS ROM patch as you wrote), and so in this case you can rename in the script to "EFI 1" the target where install OpenCoreAPFSloader2, but I repeat normally no "EFI" volume name is automatically assigned or mounted after power-on and login to macOS desktop.

I have had no issues with SIP being disabled. It needs to remain disabled otherwise the post install patches may fail. In the early 10.15.4 Beta's we had to have amfi_get_out_of_my_way set in our nvram in order to use Catalina but in 10.15.4 Final dosdude and Asentientbot and a few others found amfi does not need to be set in the nvram, but ignorer for certain apps like Chromium,Google Chrome, Microsoft apps would crash so sudo killall taskgated is need for this apps to work

Yes - could be from the ROM patch. Anyway good that I can use the version 2. Thanks jackluke!

I guess it's more a third party app that after Finder login automatically mount and unmount the EFI internal disk, (probably CCC or a backup software), because macOS at the first mounted EFI volume assigns the label "EFI" for the current session, so at the second external "EFI" assigns the label "EFI 1" , but normally no "EFI" is automatically mounted on macOS, because essentially "EFI" is a folder temporary mount point, but I guess it's a third party app as launchagents or login items that mounted the "EFI" in this case.

Thank you for the explanation!

The only left thing I do not understand is why my MacBook is not automatically going to sleep anymore when the power supply is attached.

These are my settings and it seems that an UserEventAgent is preventing sleep. But as soon as I go on battery they stop preventing sleep. If anyone has an idea I would be more than happy!

Thanks. I thought about that too but I guess telling the system on this level to sleep might end up a sleeping MacBook while watching a movie :) - but I don't know.

While typing my previous post I had the idea to just unload the routined process (I think it's some kind of location tracking service?).

So I typed: launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.routined.plist

And now the MacBook is automatically going to sleep again! :)

Hopefully, it won't affect any iCloud related sync stuff...
