Sorry man, I don't get it what do you actually mean? I press to ⌘ key but it didn't make any difference still giving the same pop-up warning.
Sorry my fault :) You missed the ","
If Safari is open and you press ⌘, the settings will open.
Maybe you can delete the extension which causes trouble (at the "extensions" tab)

MBP4,1 also running the update to 10.15.6 - for some weird reason I had to patch Nvidia kexts manually (the other stuff can still be done with the 10.15.5 postinstall patcher from @dosdude1).

MBP5,2 updated from 10.15.5(supplemental) to 10.15.6, using bootable USB installer with patcher 1.4.4. All automatic...
Plus re-installed Night Shift with patch updater, as always after OS updates.
Thanks dosdude!

Also updated Safari to Version 14.0 (15610.1.20.4, 15610). The handling of top sites seems a bit inconsistent in this version: can add bookmarks to them, but not display the top sites. I did like them, but also from time to time they collected unwanted pages and forgot the ones I had added manually... so that's not a loss.

(MBP5,2 17" mid 2009, 2.8GHz Penryn T9600, Nvidia 9600M GT, 8GB, APFS ROM patch applied. APFS SSD Samsung 860 EVO for production / 840 for testing, with Catalina 10.15.6 / Big Sur 10.16.0 beta, resp.)

Ok! But this is not the case. The problem is to activate the extensions. You can delete the app and extensions automatically delete itself. Deleting the extensions will not solve this problem.

I have 10.15.5 on a Mac Pro 5.1. I can't see the available update. I used swupatch but nothing changed. Is it possible to do it via the available combo update?

I assume you are using a Metal graphics card in a cMP5.1 which does not have a boot screen. Dosdude1 put an option in the patcher to help with this. See left hand icon selection below then follow the instructions. I have used this method for both a cMP3.1 and cMP5.1 with no issues and it is faster than using the usb method. You can make a usb later for emergency use if required. Another issue you may not have used is in the menu bar of the patcher under options. Make sure "disable APFS booter" is ticked before you start as the cMP5.1 does not need this. If you give us more detail of your setup in the signature then advice can be more specific. Good luck and back up first!

Also, do you know if there is a way to check on the patched USB which version of the OS installer it has? I'd like to just see for myself if it has 10.15.4, 10.15.5 or 10.15.6, if possible.

Thanks.

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are crashing by starting on 10.15.5. Clear installation of apps doesn't help. On 10.15.4. all work properly. How to launch Google Chrome?

Open your USB device with the bootable installer/patcher, with the Finder.
It contains the installer app.
Look inside at the package content of this with ctrl-click, there is info.plist which has the version info.
Open info.plist with Xcode (if you have) or TextEdit...
(ignore the DTSDKBuild entry, it shows the build of the system the installer was built with, not for the installer itself)

My example is for the 10.15.5 supplemental, version 15.5.02 (imagine a 10. in front of the version).

Seems simple enough! ;)

This happened to me when I initially put 10.15.4 on. I found the following Terminal Command to run in this Thread and it fixed it for me

sudo nvram boot-args=amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1

Updated MBA 4.2 (2011) from 10.15.5 to 10.15.6 using Dosdude1's patcher to prepare an USB-stick on a supported machine (iMac 17.1).
Just as during the update to 10.15.5 the update process on the MBA hang at a finished install sceen; I switched the MBA off, booted again into the USB stick, and run the post install patches. Booted into 10.15.6 automatically. All okay now.

Guys,

I'm trying to update to 10.15.6 with the .dmg downloaded from Apple website - don't know the reason, but the "Software Update" from "Prefs Pane" is not showing the update. I've already modified the "Distribution" file, however the following message is shown:

Please help me find out what's going on!?

Thanks

1.@TimothyR734 can I update cat 10.15.6 directly over 10.15.4.
2. Also to install Jackluke’s opencore tool version 3 do I delete version 2 first format the usb and ten install or do I overwrite.
3. Can big sur beta be installed on clean formatted ssd or it requires catalina os and then has to be upgraded.

Tks for your inputs.

Yes the Catalina Patcher will download 10.15.6 create a new Catalina Patcher usb and install over 10.15.4 2. I never tried installing over a usbOpenCoreAPFSloader do unsure it would cause issue I just erase mine 3. Yes you can install on a ssd but depends on your Mac if you have a metal supported GPU you will have graphics acceleration if not none and possibly issues with legacy usb if you do have a metal supported gpu WiFi is not working and sound out of the box both are fixable 3 people have methods of installing Big Sur parrotgeek, Barry and iPixelGalaxy and he has a video giving instructions to installing and getting WiFi working and help to prevent the volume from being sealed so you can make changes as Big Sur boots from a snapshot
