Thanks. In which way did you install it? My installation process after download is interrupted shortly after the start and followed by a reboot (without startup sound) ...
It runs fine on my modded iMac 2011 after the usual process:
Startup the @dosdude1 patcher, download the (new) full installer, patch it, install. For my 2011 the "install to disc" works pretty fine. I do not need a USB installer any longer.

Another amazing Patcher 1.4.4 success! Fully automatic, took less than 2 hrs. MRT was 162, SilentKnight brought it to 164. Other than that - perfection. Installed on top of previous 10.15.6. via USB.

it's weird, both are the same space, and same space used, one marks the used space as normal, and the other one marks the same used space as Other, so far no boots problems, some programs don't work well sometimes, or the machine shuts down, its a mbp early 2011 13''.

Updated to 19G2021 from 19G73, macbookpro4,1.
I had issue with the CatalinaOTAswufix, the system preferences icon had the red bubble for an update but the gui showed an internet connection issue.
So I started the CatalinaOTAswufix, clicked on Software Update fix, opened the terminal and issued the command:
Code:
sudo softwareupdate -i 'macOS Catalina 10.15.6 Supplemental Update- '
After sometime clicked on OTA update fix in CatalinaOTAswufix.
Manually restarted, update installed and patched with 10.15.5 usb installer (1.4.4 patcher).

Sorry
I can't help you about technical details because I'm a dummy about programming
It's been a long time since my machine accepted every instalation from dosdude patchers (Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, ans Catalina) without any problem.
What I do is just use dosdude's patcher, download the installer, and create a pendrive installer, just this
Always worked for me, without any issue
Hope this helps you

you might check to see what you nvram boot-args are you might try booting into the Catalina Patcher in the terminal enter nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check amfi_get_out_of_my_way" and try opening MS Office or the other solution is leave the error message open like you have on the screenshot then try opening MS Office
Opening office while error message is open did the trick!

Thx

Updating via sys pref is not working for me.
It says my mac is up to date.
Late 2009 apfs rom patch ssd raid.

Hello all!
I went to install the supplemental update (19G2021), using a boot method and started to give error. Has anyone else had this error? What can I do to recover the system without formatting?

Installed on top of previous 10.15.6. via USB. Dot6 supplimental runs w/ less CPU and memory overhead than the previous version, CPU temps lower by 10%, overall. No glitches of any kind.

I redid the installation on USB stick and reinstalled again and this time it worked. So I think it was a problem in generating the USB stick the first time.

Good day, guys

I installed Catalina on MacBookPro5,2
But also I want to have Bootcamp'ed Windows 7 on the first SSD and Linux Mint on the second SSD in Data Doubler.

But when MacBook starts and I press Option key nothing will happen: no Startup Manager appears.
Whether Linux Mint disks is attached then Linux Mint will always boot.

Is this related to a patcher or is this model specific?

I just installed latest Catalina supplemental update over Mojave on an iMac 12,2 with a K2100m GPU and Catalina OC bootloader. It went smoothly except for lost Wi-Fi, so I had to use the Patch Updater function via Ethernet to reinstall the Legacy Wi-Fi patch and then it came good.
Thanks dosdude1 and all the other contributors.

To explain further, if you have Wi-Fi issues, here is the "how to" from dosdude1.

dd1: Connect to Ethernet, and use Patch Updater to re-install the Legacy WiFi Patch.
Right-click on it in list, and select Re-install.

Me: Can you explain? Do I boot from macos patcher or regular boot SSD? When I did latter, patch update ran but it was just nighshift.

dd1: Boot from patched SSD, open Patch Updater in Dock, select View Installed Patches.

Then, right-click on the Legacy WiFi Patch, and select re-install.

Anyone had any luck getting Pixelmator Pro running on a 3,1 Mac Pro?

Mine has a GTX 680 on dosdude-patched 10.15.4 and runs the trial fine, but the App Store won't let me purchase it (App Store says "We could not complete your purchase"). A bit of research suggests that it's the way the App Store checks for compatibility - sounds like it might be checking CPU instead of metal support... can anyone shed any light on this?

I recently used Dosdue1's Catalina Boot Patcher to get Catalina working on my MacPro 5,1. Since that was working, I decided to try and get Airdrop working by installing a new WIFI/Bluetooth card. I got those installed (with some difficulties), and they are working. System Profiler shows I'm running Bluetooth 4.0 and that Low Energy is supported. Wifi works great and my bluetooth peripherals are working as well. Unfortunately Airdrop is not. I can not find my MacBook (mid 2013), nor my iPhone 11 nor iPad Pro. Nor can any of these see my MacPro (even the MacBook Pro looking for older devices).

Since there are plenty of people out there who have gotten airdrop working with the same cards I installed, I'm wondering if the issue is that I used Dossdude1's boot patch to get to Catalina since I don't have any Catalina running devices to install from. (Well I do, but it is my work's and they have it set up so no OS installers can run it seems).

I tried to do a clean install of Catalina from recovery, but even though I wiped the drive and asked for no post install patches, some patches remained. I am assuming from the patched recovery partition. I have also tried to replace IO80211Family.kext with the one from Mojave (since I can't find a Catalina version), but that gives a missing dependency error when I rebuild the kextcache and wifi doesn't work after rebooting. Nor did hex editing the BroadcomNic kext to include my board ID work. That gets a failure of invalid kext when rebuilding kextcache.

I'm not really sure this even a software issue, but it does seem weird that my WiFi and Bluetooth would be working, but none of Airdrop, Continuity, or Handoff.

Anyone else run into a similar situation? Were you able to get Airdrop working?

I'm attaching screenshots of the wifi and bluetooth portions of system information.

Thanks for any suggestions

Night Shift
I'm not sure if OpenCore/iMac Pro spoofing may be responsible for this, but I've noticed that after "natively" applying the 10.15.6 Supplmental Update, Night Shift is still theoretically available in the relevant System Preferences/Display tab, but it doesn't seem to work at all (for instance, it doesn't appear on Notification Center. Is there a way to actually make it work? I know dosdude1's Catalina patcher includes a post-install feature that should automatically re-apply all necessary patches, including the Night Shift one, but, if it was applied (and I think it was), it didn't work. Is there a way to manually re-apply it?

EDIT: My bad, I had neglected rebooting after the Night Shift Patch was automatically reapplied. Everything's great now!

Works great on MacBook5,1 and MacBookPro5,5, thanks!

CatalinaMB.jpg

For some reason the first time around it didn't install correctly on MacBook5,1. I had erased the drive beforehand and formatted it as APFS for a clean install, but after the install I would just get thrown into the grub shell upon reboot.

GrubShell.jpg

I tried again, and the same result. I then tried applying the post install patches and it told me I didn't have a valid install present. So, finally I erased the drive again and tried again and this time it worked.

BTW, on the other machine I tried installing over an HFS+ install of High Sierra, and it worked fine, keeping all our data. I didn't manually do conversion of the drive to APFS beforehand, so I guess the install process did that automatically? (I didn't check because shortly after that I just erased the drive and started again. There were too many remnants of applications that were not compatible with Catalina, so I decided to just start over and do a clean install instead.)

P.S. I could not create the USB installer on my 2017 iMac running Mojave. The process would just fail. I had to create the USB installer on my High Sierra MacBookPro5,5.

I seem to be getting the previously known issue where the internal screen is seen as a projector. I've noticed it most often after logging into a second account and logging back out into the first account. Logging out the first account clears it. But yes, it appears to be purely cosmetic because it doesn't affect the display quality.

This happens with both my MacBook5,1 and my MacBookPro5,5.

Touchpad on my MacBook7,1 (Mid 2010) is now worse on 10.15.6 (non-supplemental) than it was on 10.15.5. I often have to tap/press a few times for a click to be registered. Upgraded from USB.

Trying to fetch the supplemental update with the patcher now.

Edit: The supplemental update, nor re-running 'Patch Updater' fixes the touchpad issue.

Hey guys, I have an issue with my MBP 5,1. I keep black screening if I use the Mac OS UI too much (switching between multiple desktops, Launchpad, mission control, app expose etc). It happens and random but I can reproduce fairly reliably by using those aforementioned functions in quick succession. I restart and get a kernel panic report that indicates a graphics error. Has any experienced this behaviour before?
