Ah ok. Thanks. Never noticed that! It's a lot more prominent in Big Sur, so the UI is changed at least even if it's not a big feature.Click the arrow next to the magnifying glass icon

There’s oodles of little things like that which aren’t (or weren’t previously) particularly obvious.Ah ok. Thanks. Never noticed that! It's a lot more prominent in Big Sur, so the UI is changed at least even if it's not a big feature.
Now that I look at it, I found one thing that could bother me. Dock has more padding on the bottom than on top. It looks horrible.
In Safari, is it possible now to show favicons along the favorite bookmarks bar?
That's the only thing I don't like about Safari currently, I find bookmarks hard to aim with just text... Every other browser has the favicons shown.
It's text only.Sorry, I'm talking about the favorites bar! Just on top of the tab bar. Not the bookmarks menu...
Can anyone confirm if:
- Control center can be disabled/removed from menubar
- Notification Center can be killed/removed as in prior versions
The main reason I installed the beta was to test if there were any changes to the books app. The only change I saw was that it is possible to edit metadata. For my part I will be staying with Mojave for one more year. In Mojave, after installing iTunes 12.6.5.3 and deleting the horrible Books app I can do what I want with my music/book/audiobook files. Also drag end drop to my iOS devices works without syncing.Has there been any change to the Books app, especially WRT audiobooks? I was really unhappy that the Catalina Books app won’t let you edit metadata, sort by author last name, play to more than one airplay speaker at a time, and puts all of the files in an obfuscated directory that can’t be moved to an external volume.
AirDrop is much better. Syncing manually seems clunky. Or you can sync thru iCloud.
The 'Dock and Menu Bar' settings has two sections - the first section lists the options that are always there in CC. You may choose to show/hide each one of them from the menu bar. The second section shows few more, which you can show/hide from CC and/or menu bar.

My 2019 MBP has always made this noise in Catalina? When I plug my charger in it makes the same sound as it does on iOS devices. My Mac has never made that sound before.
My Late 2013 MBP has never made that noise. My 2019 MBP has always made this noise in Catalina?
Thanks! I know it’s nitpicking, but I’m glad they thought of it.
I'm really interested in this, i did notice from some screenshots that in Control Panel > Appearance there is no option for smooth fontIs it only me or does Big Sur improve the rendering of small fonts on sub 4k screens? I have a 34'' Dell 3440x1440 screen that I have to use with a windows desktop because on Catalina the fonts look like its 1982. This seems to have drastically improved on Big Sur for me. Not yet Windows levels of clarity, but way better.
Did anyone else notice this?
