UPDATE #7 on my patcher:
-I've been POUNDED with DMs and it is nearly unanimous: wait longer for a better patcher. I personally agree too ;)

-I'm continuing to work on the patcher apps, as well as my website. Soon I might start the post-install section.
-I'm studying dosdude1's work to see how the patch updater works. I'm still a little in the fog with it, but there is a possibility that I'll have a patch updater made.

-Unfortunately for my work, it's that time of year. I'm starting school on Sept. 8th, and will have to slow down my work on the patcher to accommodate for schoolwork. Don't worry, though, I'll still have loads done!

-I would like to thank everyone here who has contributed to the cause. Despite these unprecedented times, many individuals here chose to still work on getting macOS on unsupported Macs. I applaud all of these people. My patcher wouldn't have been possible without them.

EDIT: As of this post, I'm changing my name to MacHacJac, my profile for my patcher, once MacRumors gets back to my request. My discord username will also change from MacStory4 to MacHacJac.

Cheers.

I ran the unpatch.sh in 0.0.19 using the usb installer I already had with 0.1.0 after that I repatched it with micropatcher.sh, rebooted to the usb installer, ran the setvar script and then the kext script without rebooting between them. Reboot and, hopefully, all will be working

I get an error on my MacBook Air 2012 “could not find kernel mach-o kmutil failed” this while trying the Kext script. Any ideas please?

Today I also did the update from DP4 to DP5 on my MacPro3,1.
Everything works as always:
- cmd-s / exit for keyboard
- AppleHDA changed (no Snapshot PrelinkedKernel, only KC), audio works with DP5
- WLAN still native
- AirDrop here no problems with DP5

I got Big Sur installed on my Late 2012 Mac Mini. I used the A1425 guide. Everything seems to work except for wifi.

Why would you be installing Catalina Beta when this is Big Sur Beta?
I think Catalina was a typo. I get the same prompt when installing Big Sur Beta 4.

UPDATE #8 on my patcher:
I know this is probably getting annoying, but I want to keep everyone posted on my updates.

-I realized AppleScript is not too good for my purpose. I think I'll make it, but put more focus on my Xcode app as AppleScript is really limited.
-Fixed s'more buggers. Nothing special. Finally starting to actually integrate the patcher into the app (yay!).
-I had a HUGE realization: SwiftUI is only supported on Catalina, but I want my patcher to work for many of the modern OS's (I was thinking through Yosemite). Sooooooo... I'm gonna use UIKit, which I know almost nothing about. Fortunately, though, I don't have to start over, as I didn't do too much UI yet.
-I heard back from a MacRumors staff member: VERY pleasant experience. He was very kind and will let me change my name from MacStory3 to MacHacJac. Should happen soon!

UIKit is available in Mojave and Catalina (and Big Sur) only. If you want to go back to earlier versions of macOS, you need to use AppKit instead.
