If you want to make your app open-source, maybe Livecode would be a great tool to quickly create a prototype.
You can also call shell scripts (also with administrator privileges using the "open elevated process" command) and AppleScripts (using the "do script" command) from Livecode.
The apps you create with Livecode require only OS X 10.9 Mavericks as a minimum.
As long as your app is open-source, you can use the Community Edition for free.
I tried to make an account in LiveCode, but when I was setting my password, it would just loop back to the same screen and I could never create an account. Therefore, I can't download the community edition. Any tips? I tried on many devices.

Tried your method booting from a Mojave system backup partition. Same, no Big Sur updates have been offered, "Software Update" reported that my cMP 5.1 has the latest release installed.

@Ausdauersportler
With your linked installer sources and Barrys instructions the installation worked like a charm.

Thanks all for your helpful contributions ?.

Hi all,
I installed PB1 on MBP mid-2012 when it came out (and followed this forum), and all was working fine that I could see.
Just upgraded to macOS Big Sur 11 beta 5 (20A5354i), Wifi not working at first reboot.
Restarted on USB and reran the kext Patcher and now it is working again (posting from it actually )

TimeMachine is also working fine.
Anything else I can test ?
All biggest thanks to all for the amazing work.

Thank you Barry for the prompt reply! I really don't know what happened... What I did was erasing the USB, recreating the USB installer and start the whole procces from scratch! It worked like a charm! I do have Beta 5 installed with everything working fine! Thanks again for everything!

Thanks I'm having a similar issue trying to install beta 5. I didn't erase the USB drive this time I just used createinstallmedia which I thought would erase it completely. Booted up with the installer ran Barry's micropatcher 0.1.0 and during the installer it failed saying the installer was damaged. Luckily Big Sur beta 4 still runs fine. Maybe some remnants of the previous patched installer corrupted things. I'll try erasing the drive properly this time.

It worked! Late 2013 iMac updated to Beta 5. No problems with Airdrop etc.

Here's the method I use >https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/macos-11-big-sur-on-unsupported-macs-thread.2242172/post-28735799 #2,707

@Barry K. Nathan Hi dear! Since most people uses patcher 0.0.19 as workaround to install beta 5 on various machines having issues with wifi and airdrop , could you please directly update the patcher to automatically apply fixes?

For the record I used 0.0.20-v0.1.0 patcher and after first reboot, I had no wifi. I restarted on USB and reapplying the kext fixed the wifi for me.
Airdrop seems to be an issue on the official Beta 5 if I read it correctly.

Yeah Apple won't let you officially install Big Sur on a 5,1. Only 6,1 and later. It won't even show in updates
The Big Sur Beta update is showing on my cMP mid 2012 5,1 during updating the Catalina 10.15.6.
The Big Sur Beta (20A5354i) 12.13 GB.

It looks like you are on an unsupported mac running BSur Beta1 ... if so, search this thread of the forum for "InstallAssistant.pkg" of whichever beta you want. Search also for BarryKN's latest patcher tool and follow his instructions for preparing the installer usb stick.

Also, check this link
... and read especially the section entitled: Installer and Update -- known issues.

Installing beta 6 on MacMini late 2012. Successfully created the USB installer, applied micropatch, rebooted tomUSB, ran the boot-args script as in instructions. When I try installing the beta, I get “installation of MacOS could not continue. Installation requires downloading important content. That content can not be downloaded at this time. Try again later“.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Heads up: nvram command in Beta 5 refuses to set boot-args!

This is why set-vars.sh errors and the Mac refuses to boot in the middle of the install. Apple tweaked the nvram command to silently fail when trying to set boot-args. I wiped my NVRAM and tested it. If you have it set from a previous beta you’ll be ok, but if you lose it you can’t fix it from Beta 5!
The workaround is to use any other bootable install USB to get to Terminal and type
nvram boot-args=-no_compat_check
Reboot
