UIKit is available in Mojave and Catalina (and Big Sur) only. If you want to go back to earlier versions of macOS, you need to use AppKit instead.
Don´t think you must go to earlier Versions of Mac OS since there we have dosdude1´s patchers as of these one of 0403979 to mention two of these. I would think your main focus should concentrate to Big Sur

UPDATE #8 on my patcher:
-I realized AppleScript is not too good for my purpose. I think I'll make it, but put more focus on my Xcode app as AppleScript is really limited.
If you want to make your app open-source, maybe Livecode would be a great tool to quickly create a prototype.
You can also call shell scripts (also with administrator privileges using the "open elevated process" command) and AppleScripts (using the "do script" command) from Livecode.
The apps you create with Livecode require only OS X 10.9 Mavericks as a minimum.
As long as your app is open-source, you can use the Community Edition for free.

Hmm... I might try it out! Thanks!

@bogdanf

Installation directly on the MacPro3,1 does not work.
All my installations DP1 to DP5 were done on the supported Lenovo. (edit: DoNotSeal=true)
- SSD from MacPro3,1 via USB externally on the Lenovo
- then all installation phases with full installer up to user login. Turn off Lenovo.
- Put the SSD back into the MacPro3,1
- now I boot Catalina on the MacPro3,1
- here I delete telemetry.plugin and all .plist for network on the BigSur-SSD in Library / Preferences / SystemConfiguration (avoid conflicts with Lenovo WLAN). These will be recreated.
- then I'll replace the AppleHDA
- now I boot BigSur with cmd-s and exit (without, no keyboard)
- here in the terminal still repair permission AppleHDA, ... kmutil ... and kcditto
- Now restart and now the audio is working again
- finished

I only have to exchange the AppleHDA here, everything else works natively here. All DP's worked very well with the MacPro3,1.

any link for beta 6 please
Q: Where/how can I download macOS 11.0 Big Sur?
A:
For legal purposes, the only official way to obtain a copy of macOS Big Sur is to be a registered Apple Developer and pay a yearly $99 fee to become eligible for downloading beta software. According to Apple, a public beta which does not require a registered Developer account will be released at some point in July and will be free to sign up for. Please remember it is highly suggested that you do not install beta software on your main devices, overwriting any stable releases. Beta software can cause irreparable hardware damage or irrecoverable data loss and should be used at one's own risk.

Sorry but I have to correct you. The usual flow is at about 14 days between the releases. This time they released IOS, IPADOS , and so on after one week . This could mean they are going to the end of IOS 14 depending OSes development and we are near there to a final release

Actually, now that there are 2 public betas, all you need is to be registered for the FREE beta seed to receive Big Sur public beta. Only developer betas require the $99 annual fee.
Here is the link for the beta software site where you can sign up for public betas:

Unfortunately for me the download is not working, i get the warning "Update not found, needed macOS version is not available" and after clicking "ok" "Your Mac is on the latest version - macOS Catalina 10.15.6".
Hardware is Mac Pro 4.1 > 5.1 (144.0.0.0), installed and updated with Dosdude1 patcher. The Mac Pro is registered at the 'Beta Developper Program'.

I guess that's because Big Sur Beta is not available for this Mac Pro so it's not offered. How can i get the installation files now, any idea? Seems that all links to older beta installer packages are not valid any longer :-(.

The easy and strightforward way of getting, for example, Public Beta 2, is to do an install of Mojave (fully supported on that machine) in a partition or a separate drive and sign up for the Public beta program on that install. This will then show and allow you to download the installer for Big Sur.

An alternative is to install a virtual machine applicaiton (Fusion, Parallels or the free VirtualBox), create a virtual machine that is at least Mojave and sign up that virtual machine for the Public beta program.

Either of these will allow the download of the installer.

Ok, shame on me.
I found a lot of installation instructions outside this forum and not even one swcdn link was working. Because of this i supposed Apple deleted the old sources and i've not tried to search it here.

But now i have two options to test it, thank both of you for the help.

There is a discord server. There you can find what you are searching...

I have developer beta 5 on my mid 2012 Macbook Pro. all is working fine. Thanks to all the contributors here that made this possible. had few issues running the set-vars and the kexts patch in the terminal after booting to the usb installer. i ended up running the kexts patcher after finishing the final setup of Big Sur.

Yeah Apple won't let you officially install Big Sur on a 5,1. Only 6,1 and later. It won't even show in updates

Hi all

cMP5.1 successfully updated Big Sur from Beta 4 to Beta 5 WITHOUT ANY FIXES OR ADDED KEXT, everything seems to work well, even Airdrop (Wifi and Bluetooth card replaced one year ago by BCM94360CD).

Just a heads up: after installing Big Sur with patch 0.1.0 as usual, I've reapplied kexts using 0.0.19 and Airdrop is working again!

Also, dynamic GPU switch is working since I'm disabling the process "displaypolicyd" automatically with this command on Terminal:

sudo launchctl disable system/com.apple.displaypolicyd
