You have to do the installation procedure again on the drive you want. You build the open core, and go through the same process again and reboot. Is there a way to reinstall the Post Install Volume Patch of OC 0.2.2, the installation of mine went wrong and it says Patches are already installed, but I’m sure that no patches are installed on the system. How i can download again the files and reinstall the patch?
I installed the nightly version of OC, and works fine. Thank youYou have to do the installation procedure again on the drive you want. You build the open core, and go through the same process again and reboot.
I have disabled the transparency in the accessibility settings, now Big Sur is more snappy and i solve the transparency issue, doesn’t look good as the stock Big Sur version but at least i solve the glitch. Now on Safari v.14.1.2 looks very good on cursory check. The primary browser is Firefox v.78.12 which has performed flawlessly with any macOS version installed.
I never had transparency enabled, neither in my supported macs. I don't like it at all.I have disabled the transparency in the accessibility settings, now Big Sur is more snappy and i solve the transparency issue, doesn’t look good as the stock Big Sur version but at least i solve the glitch.
See if Messages runs?👀Thanks so much. So far so fabulous! I'm going to test for a while alongside Catalina. But no issues at all until now.
Thats because BigSur has Compatibility issue with your UPS. Try to visit UPS site and see if they have any firmware updates for BigSurJust updated my mid 2011 iMac 12.2 from High Sierra to Bug Sur 11.4 with OpenCore using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher with OLCP v0.2.2
My first time using OpenCore. All went quite smoothly nothing difficult at all.

A big thank you to you all those who contribute to this thread and others 🙂🙂🙂. that my 10 year old iMac is today running the lastest version of macOS Big Sur.
All seems to be working except for one thing.
The iMac will now not recognize a USB connected UPS, there’s no button / sub menu in System Preferences > Energy Saver. I have tried 3 different UPS and different USB cables none work. UPS connected by USB worked fine with hIgh Sierra.
Any ideas on solving this appreciated.

I've been using Big Sur on my MacBook 5,1 (late 2008) since May with the OpenCore Legacy Patcher (0.2.2 as of now). Never had any problems other than the known issues like the keyboard backlight (using labtick) no nightshift (f.lux) and the transparency issues.
I didn't feel like messing around with my Apple-ID... I hadn't seen yet, that there was an issue there. That would mean, I'll stick with Catalina for the time being.See if Messages

HD3000 VDA decoder back on Big Sur:
After installing the latest High Sierra version of the AppleGVA.framework and the latest Catalina version of the AppleGVACore.framework, a reboot and this command line
Code:defaults write com.apple.coremedia hardwareVideoDecoder -string force
I got finally this working on Big Sur:

com.apple.coremedia automatically sets VDADecoder enable (assuming that there is AppleGVA* binary in folder), but maybe for enabling VDA on TS2 AMD GPU you need the force command that seems mainly required for the AMD GPUs either non Metal and Metal.AirPlay:On some my earlier non Metal and Metal testing, just removingcom.apple.coremediaautomatically sets VDADecoder enable (assuming that there is AppleGVA* binary in folder), but maybe for enabling VDA on TS2 AMD GPU you need the force command that seems mainly required for the AMD GPUs either non Metal and Metal.
Could you try AirPlay display mirroring ?
Anyway great work in mixing HighSierra AppleGVA (for IntelHD3000) with Catalina GVACore (for BigSur and TS2 AMD).
Hi!Hey @Ausdauersportler, does it mean it would be possible to enable h264 HW encoding/decoding on a Mac Pro with AMD R9 280x (or a Radeon 7950/7970 for that matter)? Or does it enable the iGPU to do its work, so not applicable to a Mac Pro with Xeons?
On two Beta 5 OTA updates from Beta 4 the Messgaes app starts to run and then quits after a few seconds, no AppleID needed to see if it runs. Thanks. 😃I didn't feel like messing around with my Apple-ID... I hadn't seen yet, that there was an issue there. That would mean, I'll stick with Catalina for the time being.
What I saw (known issues): Keyboard backlight control keys don't work (->LabTick works), Zoom doesn't have access to camera and microphone (->tccplus; btw: Do updates overwrite, what I set there?).
