With 0.3.2 spoofless SMBIOS and SIP enabled, there is no OTA delta to 11.6.2 and the full installer will not work complaining of needed firmware update. Build with minimal SMBIOS spoofing, all works perfectly.
Spoofless sounds really cool.

I am using 0.2.4 at the moment (not going to Monterey), but maybe I will try out new release 0.3.2 on my mini.

Probably want SIP and secure boot on.

Let's see if I encounter same problem as you with no OTA delta to 11.6.2.

After upgrading to 0.3.2 and 11.6.2 successfully, Silent Knight is telling me SSV is disabled. Is this what it should be? With 0.3.1 both SIP and SSV were enabled. Thanks

Update: NVRAM reset solved the issue

Unfortunately, since I updated OCLP 0.3.1 to 0.3.2, I can't find the 11.6.2 update. It worked in the previous version, so I should have stayed in this version :/

MBP8,1/11.6.2/0.3.2 works very well. - Did I miss something? Yesterday Maps was still useless, now the app shows accurate graphics (map and satellite)! 👍🤝

Installed Big Sur on a 2011 13" MacBookAir4,2 today. 4gb/250GB Samsung SSD. Used 0.3.2 Full Installer, enabled BlurBeta fixes, everything works 100% except Backlit Keyboard. Tried Touche as advised a few pages back but that did NOT restore functionality. Labtick did allow the Backlit Keyboard to function, I just set it to auto load on login. Once the laptop sleeps and wakes back up it would not retain the backlit keyboard settings until I checked the box to prevent macOS from automatically adjusting the brightness level. After that it seems pretty stable.

* BTW I have had previous success using Touche to bring back the backlit keyboard functionality, there must be some it works on and others it doesn't.

Just updated my MP 5,1 straight from Mojave to Big Sur 11.6.2, using OCLP 0.3.3.

I was dumb and updated my OCLP from 0.2.5 straight to 0.3.3 using the TUI app. When I rebooted to test it, I got myself the dreaded strikethrough icon! But I remembered that I had installed macOS 11.6.2 on an external USB 3 SSD the other day.. I just plugged it in, rebooted, selected the external SSD to boot from, and to my relief the SSD booted perfectly and I was able to copy the Big Sur installer straight to the internal MP drive. About an hour later and after several reboots, I'm up and running with Big Sur!

Still testing, but HTML 5 video sites run just fine, need to test Airport (too cheap to buy an 802.11ac card)

Big kudos to the OCLP team!

What is the best version of OCLP for MacBook Pro 9.1? I don't want to update Monterey. Do you recommend 0.2.4 or any newer ones?

I have the same three issues 1,2,3 as you mentioned. Used the latest OCLP 0.3.2 nightly for post install patches. - There is not identical, but similar behaviour in Monterey (but night shift is there); in both cases using the same non-metal acceleration code, i.e. the latest SkyLight framework.
I did see the 11.6.2 in the update control panel when booting with OCLP 0.3.1, but not with 0.3.2 nightlies, and used it to update 11.6.1 to 11.6.2 meanwhile (didn't try 0.2.5). There might also have been a transition effect between multiple release candidates of 11.6.2, all called 11.6.2 but with different version codes (20G311 being the latest). There should be a release of 11.6.2 before long I guess, hopefully coming with a full InstallAssistant.pkg.
Hi again, I can see now in Software Update Panel 11.6.2 update circa 11,5 GB... Can I update my system this way or should I prepare 11.6.2 installation on a pendrive and then update system?

I didn't see an InstallAssistant.pkg for 11.6.2 yet.
So updating via Software Update Panel is the only option - I did this and it worked well.

Thanx, so I wiil try :) The 11.6.2 found here:
Thank you for the link! (I had only looked with gibmacos).
Downloading the 11.6.2 full installer now, to make a new USB installer. To have it ready in case I need to re-install, without the need to go via 11.6.1.

OCLP_033R permits updates w/o the two-step process.

In case I overlooked something in this thread or on the OCLP page, just ignore this post. I tried to use Word on my 8,1 for the first time. Selecting text produced grey areas. I'll attach what I saw and what a screenshot captured at the same time.

Is exactly this application version running flawlessly on the last supported macOS version on the same hardware?

If you have installed a new app version supported with macOS Big Sur you might just found proof of the needing a metal GPU. The only way out if this mess is either sticking with old supported macOS versions and old application versions or buy a new Mac.

Yes, is is. Moreover: With Catalina Patcher it's just perfect.

I know. But because OCLP's getting better and better, I was tempted to assume, I could more or less work normally with Big Sur on my 8,1. If Catalina's EOS will part us, I'll weep for a moment and then be happy to have a reason for a new machine...

This post was more about letting you know, because I'd read most about Finder glitches and problems with Apple's app which require metal.

Successfully updated OCLP from 0.3.1 to 0.3.3. After seeing some issues with OTA updates not showing up and to switch to minimal spoofing I figured i'd make sure it's set right. But minimal spoofing was set by default anyway.

Monterey is installed and working fine on a test drive but sticking with Big Sur for now.

The previous updates introduced a bug that caused application crashes with Intel's HD 4000 GPUs: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253309962?answerId=256259660022&page=1
It seems like they fixed it in the recent Catalina upgrade, but they did not port that fix over to Big Sur. I am running OLCP 0.3.3 and even opted into the macOS developer builds, and Big Sur 11.6.3 (20G405) is still showing that issue.
Could Apple still fix this bug for Big Sur, or won't they touch that driver in this release anymore?

What version of word are you using? Did you try the BlurBeta fix? Perhaps it is a non-metal graphics glitch?

'09 Mini3,1 up to macOS 11.6.3b1 atop 11.6.2 OTA, fast and carefree via OCLP-033RTUI. So far, so good.

MBP5,2: same procedure used, 11.6.3 running well (apparently not a beta, but no full installer available so far).

PS - the Post Install Volume Patch done with OCLP 0.3.4n from source of today, just as a test, which worked well.
