In time for the releases of 11.6.6 and 12.4, my MBP5,2 develops a hardware problem in the powering circuitry.
Had happened in 2017 (the notorious capacitor C7771 and a comparator in the OneWire circuit). Repaired by soldering work with dosdude's advice. This time different components... (and not the battery).
Seems the MBP5,2 approaches the end of its life, after the repairs and all the patches from 2017 on - Sierra, HS, Mojave, Cat (all thanks to dosdude), BS, Monterey (thanks to the OCLP team) and always ASentientBot for non-Metal affairs, and jackluke. So the machine was on patches for half of its 13 years.
As I need a reliable single machine which can also survive travelling to conferences etc, already ordered a refurbished MBP16,1 16" as replacement. A pity.

You should still patch it up again, one day when you're bored. Just because.

updated iMac12,2 (K3100M) to 12.4 and OCLP 0.4.5. The Bluetooth stopped working. Can't even get into the Bluetooth preference pane ???
Note: This iMac has the original WiFi & Bluetooth and the Post-Install Patch has been applied.

The iMac11,2 with updated graphics card and wifi&bluetooth card won't boot neither after updating to 12.4 and OCLP 0.4.5, even after disconnecting all the drives except the one containing the OCLP EFI & 12.4 OS. I could hear one chime and that's it: no OCLP boot picker and screen remains black. However, the external monitor showed the OCLP boot picker but could not boot 12.4.
a. I took the SSD out and rebuilt an OCLP 0.4.4 on another iMac, then launched the OCLP 12.4 dmg recovery right now and it's going to take 2.5 hours based on the progress bar info.
b. After 15 min, it came up with another estimation indicating about 13 min remaining.
c. It's now 18min remaining.
d. After waiting for 30min or so, the external monitor also showed a black screen and the iMac could not be turned off by long pressing the power button. I am thinking to install 12.3.1 back with OCLP 0.4.4.
d. The internal LCD is still not working even after a re-flash of the M5100 vBIOS. It's very strange by now because the OCLP boot picker is only related to the OCLP and the vBIOS, provided all hardware functions correctly.

It looks like a fix was pushed to the nightly build

Good Morning, I tried to install the last RC on a 11.3, it worked good until beta 3 but now something happened, is not booting the right way and keeps saying The mac has been rebooted for an error.
I partially fixed following the command found on page 111 modifing the nvram, but again after the intruducuion screen is rebooting itself again.
Pathed with OPCL 0.4.5

Please do not let us guess and search which 11,3 you are writing about. I own an iMac11,3 running just perfectly with 12.4.

The update of an MacBookPro11,3 will always follow the same complex (safe mode boot and patch) approach unless you are doing a fresh new installation using OCLP 0.4.4 and later using the auto patching. In case you messed it up just install again on top of the existing one. This approach will preserve your own data.

(just in case you can edit your own posts please try to avoid single line and single word posts, this is no chat tool)

I can not get to safe mode... this problem is starting from a fresh install too...when i upgraded from beta 3 I had a server error and so i decided to backup my data with time machine and do a fresh start. 11.3 is a Macbook pro retina mid 2012 . Before Rc everything worked fine with ota updates.

rMBP mid 2012 with original BT + wireless card very smooth update from production releases 12.3.1 to 12.4 (21F79).

As expected had to rerun OCLP 4.4 TUI option 3 Post install volume patch to get out of "tiny everything land" and my external monitor back.

MacBookPro11,3 is from late 2013 and mid-2014 (https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=MacBookPro11,3). The 2012 retina Macbook Pros are MacBookPro10,1 and MacBookPro10,2 (https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=MacBookPro10,1 and https://everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=MacBookPro10,2). So therefore ppl still cannot tell which machine. (Is it really 2012 and you got the model wrong? Is it really that model and you got the year wrong?)

12.4 updates on MBP8,1 and 10,2 with OCLP 0.4.5: Apart from the BT issue, that was mentioned before (as I don't use BT very much on that machine, I'll probably wait for 0.4.6), everything worked fine.

Re download 0.4.5, change log says BT fix has been back ported.

Edit:
I am so used to combine nouns/substantives to new ones from my own language (which is really great at it). So I am caught into this auto correction disaster literally every 2nd post - and will happily manually correct it back.
Changeling, yes, yes! I do not own the one ring to rule...

OCLP 0.4.5 hit the road.
Thanks for the heads-up. I had no probs updating to Monterey 12.4 with OCLP 4.4 on board. But I see there are updates to post install patches which may possibly be applicable to my rMBP 10,1 so I'll be updating OCLP today.

Edit, later: Finally jumped on the OCLP GUI Musikantenwagen ;), previously was sticking with the TUI after an earlier look revealed some functionality was not yet included in the GUI

The GUI worked extremely well, workflow was perfection, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Updated my MBP 11,3 to 12.4 without any problems. I removed the root patches, installed the delta update, started in safe mode (Shift+Enter on boot-picker), and then reinstalled the root patches.
(Ok, so I did have to look up the keyboard shortcut for safe mode, other than that it was super easy.)

Keeps rebooting like.that after restoring
From time machine backup....booting in safe mode.is freezing and again rebooting itself
