Yes, it is a bit of a hassle to find anything, but try using the search function, it works well and gradually you will get used to it. Apple may also make it easier to use too.Hold command and drag it out. (or move it)
The new system preference is a mess!
Use the "View" option in the File menu. Very quick and alphabetical.Yes, it is a bit of a hassle to find anything, but try using the search function, it works well and gradually you will get used to it. Apple may also make it easier to use too.

You might try @jowaju 's suggestion starting here. You would need to manually modify the Open Core config.plist, which means you would need to manually re-apply the change any time you use OCLP to "Build and Install Open Core."b) Is it possible to disable/block the Sonoma update Notification? Im not gonna further update this particular machine.
There's a "Disable app update" feature in OCLP, but I suppose thats for the OPCL app. Or..?
Thanks for any help in advance.

did you tried a usb hub 2.0+ in between your mac and the keyboard? it should work this wayPlease help: Right now in deep ****. Ran the 13.6.1 update which appeared to finish successfully. Was then brought to screen asking to install several root patches - but as bluetooth mouse wasn't working properly at that moment, needed to get wired mouse, and after short delay getting mouse, lost opportunity to apply the patches.
Now when I get to the lock screen, which appears normal, after selecting user and being prompted for password, key presses from USB keyboard, which works fine elsewhere, do absolutely nothing. Have done any number of restarts + PRAM and SMC resets to no avail.
If it's an issue with the root patches, is there some way to apply them from the USB installer? Or if not the root patches, any suggestions?
Keyboard connected directly to USB 2.0 port on iMac 10,1. Was working fine until update.did you tried a usb hub 2.0+ in between your mac and the keyboard? it should work this way
My iMac 2010 is running Sonoma 14.1 and the Safari version is 17.1 (19616.2.9.11.7)For macOS Sonoma, is Safari Version 17.1 included in the full-installer (InstallAssistant.pkg)
Which build is the latest Safari Sonoma Version 17.1 (?) ?
Thanks
Camelia
Just a thought: Have you tried changing the menu settings under "Non-Metal Configuration" (->"Root Patching")?Except that for the time when I was running the patches, and before the needed restart, I actually had a normal looking menubar. White, reasonably thick and separated quite distinctly from the Desktop background. I thought that was going to last. Unfortunately, after the restart it's back to the thin, undifferentiated greyed out menubar I've been complaining about since I started this project. Wish I could find some way to get that back again.
