Is it possible to disable/block the Sonoma update Notification? Im not gonna further update this particular machine.
I'm using iMazing Profile Editor and it's working fine.
Is it possible to disable/block the Sonoma update Notification? Im not gonna further update this particular machine.
a) OCLP above v1 is more focused on Sonoma, I also had video problems on Ventura, so rolled back to v0.6.8 and now is working again. To roll back first revert the Root Patch then replace the app, build, install, re-apply root patch after reboot.Successfully installed Ventura to 21.5 iMac 12.2 (2011) with OPCL v1.1.0 - Super great!
iMac NOT refitted with Metal capable gfx card.
a) In Photos app after root patching, full screen pictures are displayed with a blank screen. Without root paching, the Picture shows normally. Any way to revert this behaviour? Tried to revert and reinstallering root matches, which did nothing.

There's a "Disable app update" feature in OCLP, but I suppose thats for the OPCL app. Or..?
Thanks for any help in advance.
I, too, am still using OCLP 0.6.8 with Ventura 13.6.1 on my MBP6,2. In my case (MBP6,2 has non-metal Nvidia Tesla), I didn't notice any difference in Ventura when tested with OCLP versions 0.6.8 and 1.0.1, so I remained on 0.6.8 for now.a) OCLP above v1 is more focused on Sonoma, I also had video problems on Ventura, so rolled back to v0.6.8 and now is working again. Not experiencing this "take a full minute" behavior with Ventura 13.6.1 patched with OCLP 0.6.8 on MBP6,2 (non-metal Nvidia Tesla). Is anyone else experiencing this, either in Firefox esr or Firefox regular:
Running Firefox 115.4esr, Strangely enough, this board or anything macrumors + a few other sites I've so far encountered running FF in Venura can take a full minute or more to load. Same behavior even if I restart with all addons disabled.

Shouldn't need to run ESR, since Firefox still supports Ventura.

EDIT: Always post your OCLP and macOS version numbers when asking for assistance.
EDIT2: Are you requesting High Sierra support?
How did you "upgrade" from HS to Ventura: upgrade in place (over HS) or a clean installation of Ventura with Migration Assistant?OCLP is v.1.1.0 / Ventura 13.6.1.
...not quite ready to give up many years of customizations there.
No offense, but it was a A or B question. Still don't know what you did, but I would suggest a clean install of Ventura to a new APFS volume. Perform migration from Time Machine backup of HS with Migration Assistant as the last step of the Ventura install when prompted by the Ventura installer.Best answered by ...
I think that by the time you compile the results from your informal poll, you could complete your own tests of both Ventura and Monterey and decide for yourself. Is there any reason that you don't want to take the initiative to test and evaluate your own results? Can someone make me a recommendation? what should I install on my MBA mid 2013? Ventura or Monterey?
Is Ventura slow compared to Monterey on older machines?
Sorry.. I am a student so I don’t have much time to reinstall and test.I think that by the time you compile the results from your informal poll, you could complete your own tests of both Ventura and Monterey and decide for yourself. After you perform your own tests, contribute your test results and your conclusions in this forum.
If you want an opinion, I'd skip Monterey and install Ventura with OCLP 0.6.8.
EDIT: But Monterey will probably be a little more responsive than Ventura. Is it enough of a difference that you'll prefer Monterey over Ventura? I have no idea.
Ventura is stable so it's a pretty safe bet.But anyways, thanks I’ll go with Ventura.
Understood - much less time than the rest of us with jobs.Sorry.. I am a student so I don’t have much time to reinstall and test.
Thank you, nice to know it’s stable.Ventura is stable so it's a pretty safe bet.

You misunderstand me. I never assume that I am any more busy than another or that my circumstances are any more challenged than another. Truth is, we each have no idea the extent to which another is busy, challenged, suffering or worse. And definitely don't make the mistake of assuming that I am in charge of the welcoming committee. I tend to get impatient with others too easily, so don't judge the rest of this wonderful community because of my behavior. Everyone else here eagerly welcomes you and your questions.I mean I just asked questions on a forum towards people with more knowledge and experience with this… I didn’t know it was this unwelcoming here💀💀 Time to find a newbie friendly place~
I think there was at least one camera commit after OCLP 0.6.8. Do you remember if you had this issue with 0.6.8?I just noticed an issue with my late 2013 MBP 11,3 FaceTime HD Camera
When you tested Big Sur, which version of OCLP did you use to "Build and Install Open Core" and apply post-install patches? My apologies: I just booted into the last supported OS for the MBP 11,3 --Big Sur-- and the camera does not work. Still blinking green light. I now think it is most likely a hardware issue.
