Apple Mini 2012 Ventura OCLPed: Keynote crashes after trying to paste an image on it.
Did you use Command-v - and if so: does the combination work with other apps? (I remember that there were problems with some keyboard shortcuts about a year ago... Disabling "FeatureUnlock" (in the Advanced settings panel of OCLP) helped..

@RK78 or anyone who has needed to use the Safari 18.1.1 installer for Ventura, do you still have a copy of it that you can post here? Specifically, I'm looking for the Safari 18.1.1 autopkg installer referenced here. I'd like to have it for testing and can't find my copy. At this time that I checked, it is no longer available for direct download from Apple. Thank you.

EDIT: My upgrade from Ventura 13.7.2 -> 13.7.3 proceeded without issues, but Safari 18.3 has the same problems as 18.2 on my MBP6,2. My MBP6,2 runs Safaria 18.3 without issues (so far) in Sonoma and Sequoia.

EDIT2: If the following OCLP 2.2.0 release note is intended to address this Ventura/Safari crash, then the intended fix is not working on my MBP6,2 with NVidia Tesla non-metal graphics.

Thanks, I will try it.

I have it, but when I try to post it using Attach Files it's greyed out. No dice also with dragging and dropping it to this reply.

However, it's still available at Mr. Macintosh, where I originally found it, for download.

Edit, nope doesn't work. Maybe you can suggest a fix for it being greyed out.

I'm reluctant to be a taker not a giver but if anyone can share a link to <Safari18.1.1VenturaAuto.pkg> it would be fantastic. I know I can find workarounds but after two days of OCLP'ing and data restoring I'm close to my endurance limit to start again :-(
TIA 🙏🏻

Edit;

RK78 my thanks for trying too

Help!
I have a mac mini 6,1(late 2012). SSd was previously boot drive for imac 12,1 running Monterey.

It would only work externally, when I put inside imac just got a black screen. I tried to update to ventura to see if it would fix problem but kept crashing. Tried to restore to High sierra but have no screen at all.

As I needed a computer I put ssd into the mac mini.
Ventura continued to load on to the mini. OCLP popped up and said I needed root patching which I started to do but then said it could not do it.

Using OCLP I downloaded latest version of Ventura (13.7.3) and again tried root patching but was again unsuccessful.

The previous drive I had in the mini was running Monterey.

Any help greatly appreciatedScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.54.28.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.55.09.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.55.39.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.57.00.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.57.28.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.58.01.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.59.15.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 11.59.29.pngScreenshot 2025-02-05 at 12.48.50.png

I've never gone near Drop Box or anything similar, but if someone has an idea how to post this publicly with minimum hassle, including adequate security, I can give it a try.
Bless you RK78 👍🏻
I could host the file and post the link here if you could get it to me. I'm wondering if Apple Messages could carry it?
I'm very new here and am wondering if the, "Start Conversation" option is like a DM

Big thanks

ivankuraev but sadly those links are all dead now, killed off by Apple :-(

That's why I'm hoping someone might be able to share 🤷🏻‍♂️

Looking into using TransferNow for this. Seems to get good reviews. Not yet sure I want to proceed. Does anyone have any experience with TransferNow (free)? Idea would be to post public link here.

You might guess, I'd be exceedingly grateful if you felt comfortable giving it a go ;-)
Also, I'd still be able to post a public link here if I can get hold of a copy of the file 👍🏻

Woooohoooo and Thank YOU so much @RK78 👍🏻🙏🏻🎉🏆
I hope others benefit from your kindness, I certainly have.
I'll be watching this thread for any help you (and others of course) might need!!

@RK78 Thank you for posting the Safari18.1.1 download link! I tested it by performing a from-scratch install of Ventura 13.7.3 and then upgrading Safari to 18.1.1 with the package you uploaded. All worked perfectly.

I'm amazed at how well my 2010 MBP6,2 laptop works with macOS Ventura which still natively supports Broadcom Wi-Fi without OCLP root patches.

Hey all, I have a 2011 iMac 27"12,2 32GB Ventura13.7-OCLP2.2.0 that does everything I need it to as a study nook computer. However since last week, I've found Whatsapp doesn't start. Anyone encountered this before and got suggestions what can be done?

Update

When I do a clean install root patches are installed but when I use migration assistant to reinstall my data (following Mr Macintosh method) i'm not able to root patch after. Some how OCLP can't access certain system extensions.

Pulling my hair out.

Any help appreciated

I have just got my MacBook Pro 8.2 going again and have gone back to Ventura. I have just installed VSCode and Pycharm Community, both crash. Pycharm freezes when I try to open a file and VSCode crashes when I try to open a terminal. Is this something to do with the patch?

Are you not able to root patch at all eoghan! or are some patches failing please?

Does someone know what works and what doesn't with Ventura on a iMac 2011 (non-metal)? From my understanding, Photos (and maybe maps?) didn't work as it should at least a year ago without changing the colors from billions to millions? Does the issue remain? Is the situation the same on Catalina > Monterey?
