I received an email at around 2:30am reporting that my magical and revolutionary 64GB WiFi-3G iPad, ordered 4/2, is still scheduled for a "Late April" delivery.
In the meantime, I've downloaded and am now hooked on We Rule thanks to the comments in these forums. Can't wait to see the iPad version.

I just talked to apple and they told me that there is only one shipping method available (for the ipad 3G pre-ordered on March 12th)... priority. So the man went on to explain that could be 1 - 5 days after the update is made to the account. So when I see that the status says shipped - according to the apple guy I just talked to: this translates to 1-5 days before I receive the item. I told him that I was referring to the shipping of my ipad 3g that was ordered early in the morning on March 12th. So lets see if he is correct or putting out accurate info.

hmmm i havent received that email yet and i ordered on 4/14
I ordered on 4/7 and haven't received the e-mail. My shipping status still says late april.
I will be on ebay, selling mine when I get it (late April).
So I will be there to help anyone outside of the US, cheers!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure an email from the manufacturer describing a recent purchase as "magical" would do nothing more than kick buyers remorse into overdrive.
I think some of you guys are getting shipped by and delivered by confused. If it ships by late April that could mean any day up to April 30th. If we assume an April 30 ship date and add 3-4 days for delivery, then you would receive your iPad on May 3-4 (assuming ipads are moving in transit on the weekend of may 1-2).
Still haven't gotten the 'magical' email. Order my iPad 3G around 7pm on March 12th. Order status still says 'Late April' and for the first time since ordering, my Apple Care purchase some completed. Previously it was listed as not completed. Hopefully something will happen by the end of the week. And hopefully I get the email confirming the April ship date!
The waiting is giving me buyer's remorse already. If I had it like the wifi owners, I'd probably be using it. Instead, while waiting, I am thinking of better ways to allocate my money. The gap in releases is too great to me, and the email while meant for clarification, served as a disappointing tease!

In other news, not sure if AT&T support this but for a small fee, my telco allows me to have a second sim card tied to my number/existing plan. My plan comes with 12GB of data. Considering I currently use less than 1GB a month, I guesstimate 11GB to be more than enough for a months use on the iPad

I ordered last Tuesday morning and the charge has been "Pending" since then (and still is today).
I had a pending charge right after I ordered (in March) but then it went away after a few days. It just showed up again right now so I've got a feeling we're very close - as in, imminently shipping.
