[Merged] iPad 3G Ship Rumors

Anyone else have a separate $13.91 charge? I'm thinking that's the $13 shipping + 7% sales tax. I'm wondering if they are charging me for shipping separately because I had one order (the iPad one) split into three.

The iPad price is out of my available balance, but it's not yet hit the current balance. We'll see when the transaction finally posts to the detail.
 
Just the opposite here. My pending charge cancelled finally from ordering it, and no new charge for it.
 
Here's what showed up on mine in the last few hours. Not sure what's up with the $1 and $2 holds.

Seems like weird solution to new wifi dropped connection issue

So my wifi has been spot on ever since I bought my iPad on launch day. Just tonight (within the past hour) I started to notice that every minute or two, my ipads wifi connection would weaken and then drop for a few seconds and then reconnect. I wasn't pleased as I had figured my iPad was spared from all of those annoying wifi issues that others were experiencing.

So I'm thinking to myself....what is different. Then I realize that my MacBook is right next to me downloading some stuff. So I think, hmmmm, maybe the MacBook wifi signal is somehow messing with the ipads wifi signal.

I shut down my macbook and ever since (30 min) ive had nothing but full bars on my iPad. Might have been a stupid remedy, but it worked.

I'm thinking this might be helpful to those with the spotty wifi connection. iPad hates competing for your routers wifi connection.

They will probably go away soon since the big charge went through. It was probably some sort of test on the account to start.
 
I liked it better when there was a pending charge. However, the pending charge was larger than the actual invoice should have been after Apple recalculated so I guess that was a good thing. When they do charge me now it will be for that wonderful $666.74 price. :eek:

Got a pending charge for a 32GB 3G model on my Visa! Very excited about that. Sure, i've been playing around with the wifi iPad since the 3rd, but it will be really nice to have the 3G option for whenever I might need it.

I had my charge disappear as well but upon checking it now I have my AppleCare charge processed and my iPad charge itself in the pending column.

I think we can expect shipping notices today or tomorrow. It's been a while since I had anything delivered from China so I forget how many days it'll take. I just checked my order history and it can take anywhere from 2-3 days up to a week.

btw nice name. Don't be a fool, patience is cool. Write that down.
 
Damn...got a shipment notification email today............only to find out it was for the iPad case. :(
 
I got a shipping notification Tuesday for my power cord for a Tuesday 27th delivery (It's also coming from Hong Kong). Therefore, I am hoping to see something tomorrow for the 30th delivery. :cool:

Was the power cord shipped priority or standard? I'm assuming it was standard which means we may not see the 3G ship until Monday/Teusday since it's shipping the much faster priority route.

I have this same thing. I have 2- $1 pending charges on my account in addition to the entire amount of the iPad, pending as well.
 
I've got Applecare charged on 4/18, but it all goes to my AmEx, and we know they are slow about actually having things show up online.

No change at the Apple store... (well, Applecare shows complete, but we knew that...).
 
My order status at Apple is still "Not Shipped," but I noticed something weird this afternoon on my BillMeLater account . . . The entire amount of the order (3G 32gb + case + tax) came to $864. That amount has been "Pending" for 9 days since I placed the order. It was there this morning. It finally fell off just now, replaced by a charge dated today for just the case + tax, $42.80. I'm not exactly sure why that would be, UNLESS the rest of the charge is being processed to appear as a completed transaction, leaving only the case hanging out there (which won't ship arrive until the first week of May.

The entire situation surrounding the payment for 3G iPads has been weird. First, some people had account-checking charges right after they pre-ordered (I was one of them, with a $1 charge to my account). Then, the pre-authed for the entire price, right before the WiFi shipped. Not long after that, the charge dropped off. Fast forward a few weeks, and now some people have pending charges, while others are dropping off (mine dropped off yesterday).

Personally, I'm a little tired of Apple screwing with my available balance all the time. I've pre-ordered many Apple products in the past (iPhone 3GS, for example), and this has never happened. It's not that I don't have enough money in my account, it's that it makes my finances difficult to keep track of, especially when my balance is increasing and decreasing all the time.
