I changed my shipping addy yesterday morning and mine is "prepared for shipping".
I see you're in Long Island NY, so am I. So do we expect the iPad could be delivered tomorrow afternoon then? Is it UPS or FedEx?
Fed ex, And by three pm he said, if your lucky to be one of the 900 that gets the earlier date. I still have no tracking info or charge on my bill me later but he acted like that didn't matter, because what his bosses told the crews

Well I guess if it isn't shipped today, it will be shipped tomorrow and we'll know it is overnight priority and that we'll get it by 10:30am. That would be fantastic.

My 64GB 3G was pre-ordered on 3/29, and I'm still at "Not yet shipped" status. Got my case and keyboard weeks ago.
Mine just changed to Pending shipping in the last 5 mins.
Mine still hasn't changed, I am going to call Apple today something is feked with my order I can smell it already.
They may overnight, but it will be by 5:00 pm. My guess is we will get tracking info tonight, and the forum will erupt with flight tracker posts!
here is an interesting thing on the may 7 ones
I missed the cutoff of the 18th so when i ordered mine, it says "ships by May 7"
now i ordered it on the 21st , and apple just hit my cc for it. this wasnt like a test hold when i ordered it.
I do wonder if they have enough warehoused here to ship some of the may 7 ones early
i hope they dont fed ex it, the extra power cable i ordered has been sitting in mephis since saturday and just now left memphis to head to nh

I'll be interested to see if yours ships for Friday delivery. I ordered late afternoon on the 22nd and my status is still "Ships by May 7". I ordered through work (education) so I won't know when it is billed.

I ordered a Wi-Fi version on the 18th, switched to a 3G on the 19th, so we'll see where I fall in the list... I'm curious if anyone who has the "Ships: By May 7th" has had any status updates? I'll post mine when I get it (so far it's just "Not yet shipped"

You'll get your shipping notice when it ships and you'll get your iPad on Friday.
And all the while you'd be unaware of the activity on your order, but the people that get paid to worry about it and to fulfill it will have worked just as hard as to complete it regardless.
