[Merged] iPad 3G Ship Rumors

Actually it does..... i'm having it delivered to my parents house. It would be WAYYYY easier if i could get the release signed and to them before Friday morning. In fact, i'm pretty sure i can't figure out how to get it to them tomorrow - but my mom was here this morning.

So until the tracking shows up - i can't pre-sign for the shipment....

See - a real reason!
 
I would sort of doubt they get here Thursday. Maybe they won't be as strict about it since this isn't the main iPad launch, but last year with the iPhone 3GS, people were reporting tracking showing their phones in their towns, but then held until the launch day. They were very careful to make sure no one got them early.

But this is the main "ipad 3G" launch. Plus, at&t is expecting prepaid activations no sooner than Friday.

How about your mom logs into your account, prints the sgnature form, and signs it. Or you email her a pdf to print?

Thank you....that was exactly my point.

I understand being excited about the impending release, I'm pumped about the prospect of finally getting an ipad. But it seems folks are obsessing on:

Did my card get charge?
Why hasn't my shipping status changed to pending?
Why haven't I received my tracking number? That guy/girl over there received their tracking number and they placed their order after mine.
Why hasn't Apple given my a minute by minute update regarding my ipad?

All I'm saying is all the worrying and obsessing is not going to make your ipad appear any faster. All it's gonna do is give you an ulcer. So just relax...it's gonna be ok.

Right on!! I want mine as much as everyone else, but calling Apple, checking my CC card and looking at my order status every 15 mins is going to get me my iPad here any quicker! LOL! Every item I have ordered so far has sent me an email as soon as my item shipped...guess what, they will send you an email for the iPad too...you don't even have to check on it any more!!

Go to the gym or do some P90X and burn of all that nervous iPad anticipation energy people! LOL!

I want to let you in on a little secret- the ipad truely isn't magical or revolutionary. When you get on the internet with it- most websites will look the same as they do on your desktop/laptop. The ipad doesn't cure cancer, either. It's a cool computer, though and I ordered a 16gb 3g for myself. But rest assured, it won't be the end if I get it -now take a deep breath folks- on Saturday or even Sunday.

My order (from 5:33 AM on 3/12) still shows Not Yet Shipped and my CC hasn't been charged. I wish it would change to show some activity, but I'm still confident mine will be here on Friday (and my wife's still taking the day off so she can sign for it).

In order to provide everyone with a demonstration of your almost inhuman patience level, I ask that when your iPad 3G package arrives, you just sit it on the kitchen table, and don't open it for one FULL week. Just keep walking by it, looking at it, and exercising that incredible patience you have.

Get back to me after you can't stand it anymore... My guess is that you'll last 15 minutes :p

For all the people making fun of those of us that are eagerly anticipating the delivery, just let us have our fun :) For all but one or two of us, half the fun is in the anticipation and obsessive status updates. Forgive us for not being as cool and calm as the rest of you :cool::D

Half the fun for me is watching those, like yourself, obsess over this. I am on this board afterall. I just wanted to stir the pot a little and poke some fun.
