Did you use moto maker?

I did. I went with the silver/cognac set up. I was a big fan of the brown/silver combo.

It seems to go very nicely with lighter watch faces but also with the black.

I just download the wear app, Pujie black, and Facer after doing some research. I think that should hold me over on watch faces for a while.

Cant beat the price as used ones on Swappa are going for $150-$200 and I got it to the customized look I wanted and brand new with warranty and all.

Awesome sounds like a winner. I have the silver with stone band. I know you said you were not much into the metal bands, but I talk to a CS person with Motorola yesterday. They said they would be bring back the mono link band. I think that thing looks amazing. Let me know what you think of yours, and if you have questions.

This is my watchface

I debated back and forth on the gray/black/brown but in the end I am a very earthy tone type fashion guy and the brown had my interest from the start.

I have heard its pretty easy to change bands with a cheap watch kit from Amazon but being careful of the plastic back. It is something I will try in time I am sure.
Now the worst part about new tech...the wait.

One wristband gotcha with the Moto 360 is that it has these little nubs in the middle of the band slots.

So normally you have to either make sure you get a metal band with a corresponding slot in its middle (like apparently the Pebble band has) or you have to cut a little notch in leather bands. (This is all hidden inside the watch, btw.)

I took my trusty Dremel and removed the little nubs, as they made no sense to me. Now I can use any band without modification. (Since I sometimes swap them around my Wear watches, I didn't want to cut any of them.)

I saw this, thank you for that info. They are like 2 little plastic tabs in there it looks like and only certain bands will fit unless modified. I can see using the brown for a good bit but would love to add a dark gray one later on.

I do but they didnt have that combination in stock.

I am a patient man most of the time. Hopefully the little asterisk next to the shipping date is a very bad estimate.

My 360 from Moto Maker is taking about the same amount of time. Supposed to be here by the 10th or 11th. Beauty takes time to perfect. :D

What are you guys seeing as far as range is concerned?

Like how far can you get away from your phone without losing connection?

Can anyone with experience of the 360 and Apple watch say how they compare responsiveness wise? All the AW reviews show a lot of lag while the watch talks to the phone. The 360 reviews I've seen seem much slicker. Is this really the case? 360 now down to £150 on John Lewis with a 2 year warranty. So close to doing it....

Oops. Looks like I accidentally just bought me a 360.....

Got the notification it has shipped. Will be here Friday so that estimate was way off which I am happy about.

Excited to tinker with this thing and see if it's for me and lives up to the greatness I have been reading about.

For anyone looking for more discussion as it seems to have died down here, the 360 subreddit is great for info, watch faces, and anything Moto related.

Bit smug mine is turning up on Friday and only just ordered it. Not Moto Maker though.

Just bought a steelconnect and fancy Orange Isofrane Rubber Dive Strap too which was a bit more expensive than I would have spent normally, but hey, it's only money....

Got mine today. Takes about an hour to charge from 2% to full battery on the cool wireless charger they include. I expected the watch to feel heavier and look bigger on my wrist. I am 6'1"tall and weight 220 pounds, so it looks like a normal watch on me.
And bonus: heartrate works with my arm tattoo. :D LOL at Apple Watch, cause I would have been screwed with it.

Unfortunately, my 1st gen Moto X just sold, along with my Nexus 5, so I am down to using my Nexus 4 until my Moto X+1 arrives on Friday.

So far, loving the watch. Luckily, next week, Motorola is updating the Moto X series to Android 5.1 and Android Wear is going up to 5.1.1 simultaneously. It is a perfect time to own Motorola products.

That's fantastic!

I am looking forward to seeing what I will use it for most and how it will blend into my work day which is 90% of the time I use my phone at work.

What do you think you will use it for in everyday use? I was hoping more would reply of what are like the top 5 things it does and top 5 that they wish it did.

Don't really know what the top 5 things will be yet until my Moto X+1 gets here. I'll have a much better idea next week.

Just got it today and it is a lot smaller than I thought. I do have big hands but i thought it was a lot bigger. Not necessarily a bad thing but I prefer bigger watches. Actually I haven't worn a watch in about 10 years so one being there is weird enough.

I have to have the screen on the highest setting as I am a little disappointed in screen quality. It's not bad but it's not vibrant as well. I guess because I am used to staring at my quad hd nexus 6 on max brightness all the time. Will probably leave ambient mode on and test battery life that way first.

Charging up now
Downloaded facer, Pujie black, and customizing some watch faces to test.

Excited to give this a go.

Yeah, I knew going in that a year old smartwatch priced at $179 wasn't going to match the LG Urbane or Apple Watch screens.
I drained the 360's battery in about 1.5 hours the other day when I got it. That was me messing with it non-stop though. I'm still messing with it now. Trying to decide which apps I want notifications from and which to block. Testing out a ton of watch faces. Setting up my health info and pairing with runkeeper.

P.S. The vibration motor ion the 360 s super weak and the vibrations for notifications are way to short. You'll want this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.vibrationNotifier&hl=en

In doing some reading the 360 will get wifi capabilities activated which will be wonderful on 5.1. Also the ability for quick contacts and other nice additions.

Great timing.

Yeah, all the LG Urbane additions in 5.1.1 are coming within the next 10 days or so. Being able to flick the wrist to scroll through notifications will be of particular interest to me.

And curious how far away from your phone you canget with your watch? I'm using my old Nexus 4 and I can still get notifications roughly 100ft away and though my entire house. That is several walls and brick masonry. I found that impressive.
