Agreed. The only thing that may make me consider the next version would be a brighter screen, a speaker to take calls, and a removal of the flat tire.

The black piece on the bottom doesnt bother me at all but if I get 1 and 2 on my list, might as well add 3.
I agree, I had to return mine because it is unreadable in sunlight and I work outdoors a lot.

That may be it but I wouldn't think I would have such limitations in my truck as its newer. It basically is overtaking priority and not working when I use Bluetooth. Big pain but it may not be the 360 that's causing the conflict.
Not sure about your trucks setup, but you may be on version 1 or 1.5 and not version 2 of DLNA. Unless your dealership can update your system via a software update (Chevy Volts and Tesla's can), you may be stuck at version 1 or 1.5???

Here are the version differences of DLNA:
Version 1.0
2 volumes: Architecture & Protocols, Media Formats
2 Device Classes: DMP, DMS
About 50 media format profiles

Version 1.5
3 volumes: Architecture & Protocols, Media Formats, and Link Protection
12 Devices Classes and 5 Device Capabilities
About 250 media format profiles

Version 2.0
Includes topics like EPG, Content Sync, RUI, WPS, Media Formats, Scheduled recording, DRM

Moto 360 is $129 today only for black leather and stone grey leather. It's factory reconditioned, though. But, nevertheless, a great deal! It comes with a one year warranty from Moto.

Where at?! I just bought one from Best Buy. I'll either return it or get a price match.

Durn. Apparently they were sold out by 10am.

Their charts showed that about 1/4 of the people who bought one, signed up that very day to get it.... and for about 1/3 of all the buyers, it was their first Woot purchase.

Interesting.

Not to worry. More sales are coming to get rid of the last remaining stock of the 360 gen 1. Gen 2 is right around the corner and may even be announced in 2 weeks at Google I/O.

If Google confirms android wear support for iOS I will be canceling my apple watch order. Especially now that they are so affordable.

Darned good deals on this watch recently.

For the same price as a 42mm stainless steel Apple Watch, you could've bought two Moto 360s (charge one while wearing the other), PLUS an LG Urbane, all also made of stainless steel.

Each can have its own style watch band, too, to fit different situations, from work to party.

Speaking of multiple purchases, I've become a fan of having more than one smartwatch, especially since I wear one 24 hours a day. Currently I usually wear the LG Watch R for two full days, then the Moto 360 for one full day, then repeat.

Apple Watches are obsurdly overpriced for the SS and Gold Editions. But, if people want to waste their money on one of the ugliest watches on the market, then Apple is glad to take their money. I'd rather get the Huawei, LG Urbane AND a 360 for the same cost as one SS Apple Watch. :D

They are expensive but after seeing the Moto 360 at Costco the other day (all that time that it has been available and I've never met someone wearing one) and reading the comments of how clunky the LG Urbane is, I might finally get an Apple Watch. I guess it's the same as it has been with the Macbooks for a long time. More money but also a certain level of design for those who like it (and obviously that will also attract people that dislike the design, price etc, that's totally fine :) ).

After a full 2 weeks here is my review of the Moto 360

Pros
Design: I get almost daily compliments on the design of the watch even when it is off. I love the look of it as I have the cognac leather and it looks great with everything
Notifications: this has simplified my life in being able to drive and answer texts safely and instantly, utilizing gps by my voice, and all with my phone in my briefcase in the backseat
Charging capabilities: love the cradle and wireless charging capabilities as its a great design and I also can utilize any of my other wireless chargers
Android Wear: I think I bought at a good time versus launch as it has come a long way and I haven't seen a stutter or delay at all and the interface is actually great. I expect even more when the next big update comes out soon
Price factor: I got mine for $180 on MotoMaker and I couldn't be happier with the way this device has integrated into everyday use for the price point I got it at

Cons
Battery life: I wouldn't say it is as bad as most say and not so much a con but it isn't a pro either. I routinely take it off the charger at 730am. Multiple texts, social media notifications, and some alerts from all apps on my phone and by the time I get home and dock it at night it's around 10-20%. Again, it lasts a whole day easily but there are times on heavy days I need to put it on the wireless charger at work for a little more juice.
Connectivity: this actually may not be against the device but my setup as I seem to randomly lose connectivity and I won't get alerts on my watch even though nothing has changed. I also see if I walk away from my phone by leaving it in my office coming back it doesn't sync nicely and I have to manually do it sometimes. A major pain when it occurs
Inaccurate motions: I wish the tilt the wrist, check time motion was more consistent when looking at the device. I would say it works 75% of the time which isn't bad but it's very annoying to have to re twist my wrist or press a button to activate the face. I heard ambient mode remedies this but as stated above there would be no way I make an entire day on one charge. This needs improvement
Screen: the screen isn't terrible but I consistently keep it on the highest brightness (yes I know this is direct correlation to my battery life) because it is the best experience for this device. Even at max brightness it struggles a bit outside and isn't as crispy as it should be. Maybe generation 2 will up this game. The black flat tire is a blemish but you get used to it and would like to see that remedied as well next generation
Call functionality: I wish the device could take phone calls. I routinely keep my phone in my suit pocket or briefcase and would love for the ability to take a call on my watch in my office or walking around my house

Overall this devices pros far outweigh the cons for me and I wonder why I didn't get one earlier with how much it has integrated into my daily routine and simplified my life. I really love looking at my wrist when I get a notification versus digging in my suit pocket to pull out my phone and look. At the price point it is at now I would say if you are on the fence about wearable tech, take the plunge and you will not be disappointed regarding the best looking smart watch on the market.

7.5Cs on the Cnasty scale

It still looks weird, and if they have to sell them cheap there must be a reason for it (not selling very well)

New version coming out that is why. Not sure where the "weird" part is though.

The apple watch look weirder IMO, it looks like a little Zippo lighter attached to your wrist. I was surprised at how small it is in person, it makes it's thickness and rounded edges stand out much more. The weirdest thing about the apple watch is the humongous bezel from 1987, makes me appreciate having no bezel at all on my Moto. I'm still baffled why it's so much more expensive other than the usual Apple tax.

In my experience, connectivity and re-connection depends much more on the smartphone.

Older Galaxies, for instance, will chew up battery and have a tough time reconnecting. My Moto X, on the other hand, happily reconnects to both my Android Wear and Martian Notifiers when they come back into range.

Every watch does this at times. Even the Apple Watch.

It's why I prefer my LG Watch R, with its bright always-on face that lasts way over a full day (and usually two). The only time it seems to turn off, is after I've been in deep motionless sleep for a while, with the watch under my pillow. However, after I wake up and start using it again, it stays on all day.

This is the main reason I am looking forward to getting 5.1.1. Having that stay lit in dim mode.

Right now I have an app that allows the 360 to stay on for 30 seconds, then dim for 30 seconds before going black.

Anyone else getting horrendous battery life with this connected to a Note 4? I'd say my battery life is cut in half easily.

Not a N4 but a N6 which is known to have inferior battery life compared to a N4 and I have no issues with battery life.

I cant recommend the apps Facer and Premium Watchmaker enough in combination with this website: http://facerepo.com/app/

I have a large stock of watchfaces for every occasion as well as from the professional to the more casual.

I even take some custom pics of my tie and match my watchface to it when I am feeling snazzy.

Really loving the customization options.

I've been learning the Lua code and making my own watch faces. But the built in watch face maker in Watchmaker is pretty good. I just prefer to make my own.

Good review!

Like I said, this makes me excited for the 2nd gen Moto 360 more than anything.

Thanks for reading. I am also excited to see what changes they make on a very solid product. If worthy, I have no problem upgrading as the device has met my needs and then some.
