Why in the hell is Motorola not selling it on their site without all the Verizon BS?

I want to pre-order this device, but no reviews? Hmm. I may have to wait.

Wait, this is on the X Pure? I thought there was only going to be one version of the Pure that worked on all carriers, no carrier specific models, and only sold directly from Motorola. When did that change?

Would that have been the 2014 Moto X?

No in the U.S. Carriers have the 'STYLE'. The one that comes with bloat must be the carrier locked style. So I assume this is the model with Verizon bloat in this instance.

The PURE (which is still the STYLE) will only be sold unlocked and carrier free.

In Europe only the Style will be released but it will essentially be the Pure.

:)

Wow, then I clearly misunderstood because I could've sworn everything I read and heard was that in the US, the only version sold would be the Pure and that Moto would not be selling any version of the X through the carriers, only via the Moto online store. My mistake.

UPDATE: This article seems to confirm my understanding. And the only version on the Motorola US website is the Pure Edition. Anybody have a link to the info pertaining to a supposed Verizon version? I think someone may be mistaken because the handful of articles I just read all say the same thing--only version in the US is the Pure Edition, which is essentially the same as the Style (International version) with compatible radios for both Verizon and Sprint.

Yeah seems to a load of confusion from the info on announcement day to subsequent.

Hopefully once it's on their site to order it'll make more sense. Seems they have created this confusion themselves ...

Clove in the UK have preorders up for 21st Sept so shouldn't have to wait much longer for Motomaker.
