Haha I did this with the 2014 moto x a couple of days ago while I wait for my moto x pure to come in hopefully next week.Got my Moto G today. Really enjoying it. May end up keeping it instead of returning it within the 14 days as originally planned.
I just wish you could double tap the display to turn it on.

i just preordered the pure edition in bamboo/red accent.
I actually love the expandable storage option. I have a couple old 32gb SD cards sitting around, and there's no reason for me to get the 32gb internal version when moto doesnt bloat up android. I'll just keep the apps on the phone and my music/media onto my SD card. Really there's no reason for me to spend the $50 for storage I already have.
Really cant wait to lose my 6+. The only thing I'm worried about is battery life. If I can get 4hr SOT minimum without having to turn off everything i'll keep the phone. I'm curious to see what it's like to actually use a phone that has real multitasking and native file system.
Its crazy that I can basically buy two moto x's for 1 iphone 6+. The value there is incredible, especialyl when you consider the moto x is smaller but still has a larger screen. I'm finally understanding android.

I'll be receiving my Moto X Pure tomorrow. I am going to compare it to my N6 and determine if the PE is worth the extra money for me.

please compare the screens! i watched some of the mini reviews on youtube and all of them show the screen as very very cool. That worries me. Let us also know about the black levels.

So far here goes (Compared to my Nexus 6):
Screen: Nexus 6 colors pop WAY more than the PE. I'm guessing this is because the N6 uses Amoled and their colors are over saturated. The PE screen is very good, though. It is more cool, even with the display option in the settings change to vibrant.
Winner: Nexus 6
Size: The PE feels REALLY good in the hands. Seriously, it does not feel like this phone is 5.7". However, without the cases, the Nexus 6 seems lighter even though on paper, its a slightly heavier. The Nexus 6 is thinner, though. But, it'd be hard to tell. Honestly, if the new Nexus 5 (2015) is 5.7" and has the footprint of the PE then I'm getting it.

Oddly enough, it doesn't feel as snappy as my N6. Maybe because I'm running Android M P3 on it compared to 5.1.1.
Anything else you guys want to know? Of course it'd take a few days to determine battery life.

Any backlight bleed and hows the texture on the back? Is that just a bumper or a full clear case they provided with it ?
For me the biggest issue with my Nexus is it's width, so it feels a lot more manageable ?
Lastly, other than saturation of the panel compared to the N6, how is the pure in areas such as white balance where the N6 & 2014 X tend to be very yellow, likewise on those devices when viewing in low screen brightness they tended to get a very dark red cast to them. Has the LCD screen at least rectified the white balance and low brightness colour cast issues ?

MT is good. I've been able to switch between a few apps with no problems. It's been fluent and not laggy at all. Very similar to the N6.Wow .. so they got the 'Play' in the USA after all ? Doh... See it was the PURE!!! Damn moto and it's confusing naming schemes

I haven't experienced any backlight bleed with my particular device. The texture on the back feels good. It's plastic but it has a little grip to it.
Yes, most definitely. This device doesn't feel big in the hand at all. I have pretty small hands, and it fits comfortably in my hand. I can pretty much navigate the device with one hand w/o any problems. The Moto X is definitely heavier than the N6. I had three people hold the devices w/o any cases on, and they noticed the extra weight from the Moto X. However, the weight isn't bad, though.
I may have to take a picture for you. I turn off adaptive brightness and turn the brightness all the way up on both device...and the Moto X screen was very white, and my N6 had a yellow tint to it. In low brightness, the N6 screen was whiter than the Moto X.
The Moto X buttons don't feel premium to me. They almost feel cheap compared to the N6.
Oh yeah, its a clear bumper. It feels very cheap. Lol. But, thanks, Moto. I'll take it since I haven't gotten a case yet.

Yeah I would like to hear the comparison between this and the Nexus 6....Might order it on Amazon since it has free next day shipping. Might could take the Nexus 6 back.
Sounds like my planned keeper duo ... Though I'll have another device or so that I'll keep changing but those two will be my main stays for a year.
I'm still undecided whether I want white champagne or black. I've had black Moto's always, maybe thinking of changing things up this year as I plan to go black 6S Plus compared to my current White.
