Sounds like my planned keeper duo ... Though I'll have another device or so that I'll keep changing but those two will be my main stays for a year.

I'm still undecided whether I want white champagne or black. I've had black Moto's always, maybe thinking of changing things up this year as I plan to go black 6S Plus compared to my current White.

Yeah this is my first Moto X device and will be my only device after tomorrow I sale my 6 Plus tomorrow after I use it to pre-order the 6S Plus. Pretty excited about the Moto X since I have never had one before.

a better place
So no more Note 5 or you still plan on keeping it?

I'll keep the Note 5 & I still have my Edge (when it returns from repair) but they are kind of in a perpetual stasis field, if something else comes along and I really want it ... They are sellable / tradeable.

Just ordered & paid for the black 32gb Moto X Style from Clove.

Looks like the Moto X 2015 is a better buy than the Note 5. Note 5 has amazing specs, but the RAM is being eaten up too frequently. Plus, it's not worth the $ I spent on it. I wish the S6 Edge was on sale so I could buy it, but I think I'll part ways w/ my Note 5.

I would like to know your first impression on performance when you get to play a bit with it because most of the reviews out there said "good performance but not the best" and i'm curious if that means lag or just slight hiccups from time to time.

For sure will do. I will post my initial impressions when I set it up and get logged into all my apps and things, hard to get impressions when you downloading all your apps for the first time so I am going to use it for about an hour or so after and then come back and report.

It was delivered so I walked home to get it and to set it up and play with it on this quiet Friday at work. Glad I live across the street from my place.

Still no sample pics. Overall for all the phones, the sample pics are severely lacking. People just don't post them up here hardly at all

Here are my quick initial thoughts...

Screen- The screen is nice, reminds me of the Nexus 6 screen where the colors are subtle and nice at the same time. Of course not better than the top tier devices such as the Galaxy series but still nice and crisp for its market.

Build- The build of the device is solid, there is no creaking and the rear rubberized material feel good to the touch. Feels 10x better in hand than the Nexus 6. I thought it was just a tad bit smaller than the Nexus 6 but when you actually get the device in hand, it seems way smaller than the N6. I think that has to do with the great job that Motorola has done with the minimized bezels. One thing that I have noticed when setting the device up is that it gets very warm in your hands. That has been reported now around the forum sites and its indeed true. Nothing that a software update can't handle I think.

Camera- I know this is the main thing that everyone wants to know. Since I am at work I cant take great pictures of anything since I'm sitting in this boring cube but I have snapped a few pics of my bottled water and little things like that to test the depth of feel and detail and right not its seems very good. I also took a quick video of me walking around my office and the video quality does seem pretty good as well with good stabilization. I will take some more detailed pics when I get home and might make a album to post them. There is no camera lag and the shutter speed is very quick. I think this camera will be great and possibly even better once some software updates roll out.

Charging- Out the box it had 44% and I have been setting it up and playing with it since 2pm and it has drained all the way down to 5%. I plugged the charger in and all I can say is WOW. I swear this thing went from 5% to 25% in a matter of a few minutes. As of right now it reads 42mins until full and that reading was when the device was plugged in at 5%. I believe this def is the quickest charger out. Even though the cord doesn't separate from the plug, it doesn't matter to me really. The charger cable also is very lengthy and not short like some cables.

OS- I mean its close to stock as you can get so what do you expect! Smooth and I have no ran into any hiccups so far with me just browsing around and setting the device up. I did a quick test to see how the 3GB of RAM performed and I was able to get 9 apps that running in the background before it finally refreshed, I say that works for me.

Speakers- I have not had the chance to test the front facing speakers yet but i did turn them up quickly on some music and they seem to act just like any other front facing speakers. Nice and loud. I will report back on that once I get home and put the speakers to the test.

These are just some quick impressions that I have ran across since I have been setting up the device. There is more to come as this will become my main device after tomorrow until the iPhone 6S Plus arrives in house after this preorder tonight. If there is anything else you guys want to know just let me know and I will be glad to look into it.

Yeah I have some great landscaping outside my apartment with flowers and everything. I will snap some when I am walking home.
Tee, was it you who works for ATT? If so, do you advise to register your device IMEI with ATT every time you get a new phone?

Yes I work for ATT but on the corporate side...I never do, I just pop my sim in and keep it moving.
A rep was telling me that I should every time cause of data issues. I think they just wanna track what device I'm on every time.

Exactly, I have been doing it for awhile and never had data issues. I think they just want to know what device you have as well. Like the other day when i picked up my Nexus 6, I went to AT&T and got a sim card and left the Nexus 6 in the car. I walked in and asked for a sim and the rep told me to go and get my phone. I told him that it was an unlocked device and he needed to activate the phone...I just gave him a blank stare and went and got my phone.

As a client, I'm over ATT. What was holding me back was my unlimited data and employee discount but I've made peace with losing both; although, I haven't switched to another carrier, yet.

Even recently, I got the ATT variant of the Note 5; omg on the amount of bloat they put in these devices. Not only that, the branding on the device is terrible. I get that the coverage is second best but not worth the headaches they provide. BTW, returned the Note cause of it.

Which one would you recommend, iPhone 6+(2014) or Moto X Style? :)
