Thanks for letting us know. Is merging albums in the "recently added" view now work again? Problem was reported by dclivejazz last month.

I agree with the other here that on macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 there appears to be a bug where play counts between iOS and macOS do not sync. I typically only enable "Use Listening History" on my iPhone and have many smart playlists that rely on this and usually within a 24-hour period the Mac would catch up, but not it's several days behind. Toggling this option on both the iPhone and Mac doesn't help. Each device only recognizes its own play counts. I've submitted feedback.

Is anybody else still having the issue where most of Apple's "'Artist' Essentials" playlists don't show covers in recently played? I've deleted my library, removed them, readded them, etc with no luck. Only single albums show covers.

yeah it's been a bug for some versions already. on the web and iPhone it works okay

System Audio Recording (Siri & Dictation) icon (purple color) shows up in Control Center whenever I have an active video playing on YouTube. Google search returned no fruitful results. Microphone access is turned off for all the applications under Privacy settings. Anyone else encountered this?

Ah. Smarty pants comment. Or at least it feels like one. Let's see. I enjoy listening to music and watching music videos on YouTube and the purple icon is bothering me. I may have misread and posted my question under the wrong thread but... There you go. YouTube has millions of music videos and I am bothered by this new icon that I see. Good enough? Can anyone help?
Since Sonoma 14.1 I Music app on my Mac no longer registers tracks played on my my iPhone. Libraries on both Mac and iPhone are synching ok (ie when I add or delete a track on my Mac it shows on my iPhone) but tracks played on my phone no longer show up on Plays on the Mac. Somehow a setting must have got screwed, but I can't find it...any advice? Cheers.

For some unknown reason 'plays' syncing between iPhone and Mac has started working again - presumably fixed in the last beta upgrade.

This is fantastic news if it’s a formal fix and not just “internet weather” that plagues so many of Apple’s services.

14.2 Beta 4.

I have 500 GB of downloaded music I imported. Not playing from the playlists I have. I can right click and find it in its folder and it will play. But when I play a specific playlist, it infinitely fast forward through the songs.

This worked OK earlier today before I updated to the new beta.
