I installed XPSP3 before the Bootcamp update, and there were no problems...
I believe the official release is next week, so you should hopefully be able to get a copy then...
Under properties you should see a button called 'Unblock', click on this and then on OK.
I haven't had a chance to install this yet but I hope it fixes the nVidia/ATi driver problem causing Vista not to boot via DVI-D.
Sorry i had to modify your post there.
That is how many do it (including me).Parallels and Fusion can run Windows from BootCamp on Mac OS X right? Meaning that you dont need to have 2 different version of XP in your PC (one for boot camp, one for virtualization).
The bootcamp update still does not fix the problem running in boot camp with an external display on a MBP in clamshell mode. And even in dual display mode I still can't make my ACD the main display.
Makes bootcamp mostly useless to me.
There are no such options.Did you try to right click on desktop and go into:
Graphics Properties
Graphics Options
There are no such options.
Now do you mean right-click to select Properties which opens the Display Properties Control Panel? That doesn't help. The Settings tab won't let me set the ACD as the main display (the option is disabled). And if I can even get it to boot into clamshell mode at all, the display is set at 1680x1050 as a max resolution in Display properties. It won't allow setting 1920x1200.
Like I said, it's still broken.
Isn't the nVidia/ATI addition sort of redundant considering that they are the only two manufacturers of video cards for the Mac? In any case, do you know if it resolves the problem?

Well,
So, this is what I did:
Reboot the MacBook into Windows.
Run Apple Software Update. It showed the Bootcamp update. Click to install.
A few minutes later I came back to see, and there was a dialog saying that I needed to restart to finish the installation. Clicked to restart.
Windows came back up with no problems, what used to work seems to still be working, video resolution is fine and everything seems to work fine. I didn't have any issues before, and I don't have any issues after the update as far as I can say. This is a regular Black MacBook core 2 duo 2GHz
My 2 cents
